Value Invest uses a simple Discounted Cash Flow Method that utilizes the concepts of the time value of money. Discounted cash flow analysis is widely used in the investment world, and is a standard financial valuation method that can be applied to just about any cashflow producing asset. To complete the valuations, the app only needs 4 inputs - Current (or averaged out over the years) Free Cash Flow (or Earnings) - Estimated Cashflow (or earnings) Growth Rate for the next 10 years - Estimated Cashflow (or earnings) Growth Rate going into the future after the 10 years - Desired Investment Return The estimations can be saved locally on the phone in a convenient table format, from where they can be retrieved, edited, or deleted.
