Vamos: Padel Americano

Eight people showed up, there are three courts, and nobody knows who plays with whom. Vamos runs the whole evening. Type in the names, say how many courts you have, and it builds every round for you — who partners with whom, who plays against whom, and who sits this one out. THE PAIRING IS THE HARD PART Keeping score is easy. Spreading twelve players over three courts while reducing repeated partners and balancing rests takes more thought. Vamos uses the match history to build each round, prioritizing new partners when possible. AMERICANO AND MEXICANO Americano uses previous rounds to reduce repeated partnerships. Mexicano re-seeds after every round: the top four take court one, and inside the court it is first and fourth against second and third. BUILT FOR A REAL EVENING, NOT A PERFECT ONE When court capacity is limited, Vamos assigns rests using match history. Odd numbers work. Late arrivals join subsequent draws, with rests based on match history and court capacity. Players who leave early stop being drawn and keep the points they earned. THE TABLE EVERYONE LOOKS AT Individual points build up across the whole night. The standings show where the score came from and say which key they are sorted by, because "I scored more and I am below you" is the argument that ruins the evening. SCORE IT YOUR WAY Play to a fixed number of points, or play to the clock and enter whatever the score was. NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS There is no sign-up.
