highly recommend

this fits all my personal criteria for a game, top down pixel art, skill based playing that turns into an idle game if you upgrade the right way. Extremely unobtrusive optional ads. i would’ve paid a couple bucks for this considering that it’s a full game in itself.

Free ,no ads..

I don’t know why a-lot of pol complaining with this game, i played on my ps and mobile, and i never have any issue with it (i’m using iphone 15 pro)and compare to other free games..the dev never force you to spend real money throughout the game (they even give the DLC for free)
lowkey i recommend this game to anyone if you like rogueplay game

Free full game.

It’s the full game for free. You can purchase DLCs if you want but honestly the dlcs add so much that they’re worth the one time purchase of 99 cents. There only advertisements I’ve seen in game are the completely optional offer to watch an add to revive when you die. In an age of predatory advertising in games on mobile, this game stands out. It’s also pretty fun, and has a lot of complexity despite how simple it looks at first. Has turned into one of my favorite mobile games, and I don’t usually like games like this. I rarely review mobile games but this developer has done so many things right that I had to leave a review.

Still the best

The game that every single mobile game has copied multiple millions of times and all of them are gacha casinos with pay2win mechanics.

Those pretenders are all shallow when compared to Vampire Survivors. They rely on psychological manipulation to keep you clicking inside of menu after menu instead of actually playing the game.

Because the rewards in those sad copies are found in the shop where you spend currency bought with real money to achieve power.

In Vampire Survivors you actually need to play the game and be good at it to do well.

And it isn’t trying to nickel and dime you until you’re broke.

But when it does have content, it’s full on expansions and content that costs less than a cup of coffee.

Devs like this create masterpieces and obviously love game theory and making something fun to PLAY. Their actions and output prove their worth as a developer and artist.

I love their new game that’s out on Steam right now, and seeing where they take that game (it keeps getting better and better) has me so excited.

I felt it was time to leave this review and commentary to hopefully remind the developer that they’re appreciated and to keep following their passions and values.

We need you and your kind on the gaming industry more than ever these days.

Please fix the iOS version

I would gladly purchase all of the DLC again on iOS, even though I’ve already purchased all of it on Steam, if the developers would fix one major issue: Vampire Survivors does not reliably stay suspended in the background.

On a phone, this makes the game almost unplayable for me. A run can last a long time, and I’m not going to start one knowing that a phone call, text, or switching to another app could cause the game to lose my progress and force me to restart or continue the entire run.

This is a mobile game. Being able to briefly leave the app and return to the same run should be basic functionality. If this gets fixed, I would happily buy all of the DLC on iOS. Until then, I can’t justify spending more money on this version.
