I can safely say that this app exceeds any expectations I carried for a pocket guide to Van Gogh, an artist I have considered an inspiration since I was young. While this application performs very well, I am sad to say that its gallery does not include “Lying Cow”, a personal favorite. I am rewarding five stars but am deeply saddened by the omission of this masterpiece.

This app contains so many images in high quality. The other features are icing on the cake. I only ask that the images can be pinched-in so the viewer can get a better look at details and brush strokes.

I downloaded Van Gogh to both my iPod 4g and my iPad mini with Retina. Nice presentation on both although for leisure viewing I'll go with the iPad. This app edges another Van Gogh app (which is also very nice) is the info telling you the museum where the artwork is displayed. Lots of artwork here which shows you how Van Gogh grew as an artist. Beautiful work.
