Vanguard Zero Review
Even though this game is addicting to play, the leveling system for rank fights annoy me, because losing a match takes you back to square one. It is impossible for regular players like myself to level up my rank and obtain the rewards. Another thing is that the Gold Paladins are too strong against my favorite decks “Narukami” and “Link Joker”, Especially with Liberator Garmore. Since I build decos of my favorite clans it makes it even harder to level up my rank since most of the online players use Gold Paladin Decks. I believe that, the Jingle Flower Dragon G unit for Neo Nectar is broken since no matter what I do I can’t get past the overwhelming power gap because of the cards skill. I believe that the card should at least limited to 2 copies only so that Neo Nectar players don’t rely too much on that card.

Super unfriendly for veteran and new players
It’s seems they are just trying to rush through the end of this game with how they release there sets, Including 6 different clans in a single set is the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen. there is no reason I should have to pull on support for clans I can’t even build or don’t want to build just because support I need is Barely 1/6th of the set. I understand 3 or even 4 clans but 6 is crazy even for whale's.
Even after playing since day 1 I did not even have enough currency to craft 2 GRs witch should not be no where near 5000 crafting currency per GR, Not having a universal pack ticket for the G era is basically forcing your hand to spend enormous amounts of money on gems and most of the best ones having a G persona blast requiring 2 of them.
I could go on but my main point is that because this is the direction they decided to take the game in I see absolutely no true longevity in This game not like duel links or master duel and another thing there 2nd anniversary is an absolute joke when you compare it to the games first year anniversary and that one was subpar at best.

⭐️Heavily recommend playing⭐️
At first I obviously had no idea what this game was and was very hesitant to play it. One day I learned that one of my friends played this game and was at legend rank. So I decided to download and try it. He brought me in one of his discord servers that him and his friend made about a year ago. And I have made a lot of good friends over vanguard. And I even started buying the booster boxes from stores and started collecting my own vanguard overdress cards. I highly recommend this game. They keep consistent updates and balancing. Fun addictive gameplay. And a very good story mode and nice and simple deck building. And the greatest thing about Zero is that ITS NOT A PAY TO WIN GAME. I can’t wait to make it to legend rank😋

Great concept but lacking
I love this game and have been playing it for 5 years now. I had high hopes for the mobile game and it has made good improvements. This is a good game to play if you like TCGs. Three things are needed to get 5 stars: less P2W which is getting worse and worse, less broken decks which everyone admits and the absolute worse thing is the shuffling or lack of. All the matches I see and I play show grade 1,2,3 and 0s stacked together in the deck on a consistent pattern. Makes the game frustrating and not enjoyable. You either draw into your triggers or you sack and there needs to be a balance aka better shuffling PLEASE!

Pay to win
I’ve been playing this game since the start having a good time with all the events, being able to build and use some of my favorite decks. Now it seems all that has been made much harder to do without spending real money, prices on some bundles are ridiculously high as well. The events where you were able to make a free to play deck are now only really doable if you have a special character skin which you need to spend money on to get, otherwise goodluck on even completing half of it. Crafting special cards that are needed for decks are 5000 mats that’s pretty much impossible for any free to play player to get ahold of, even if you do manage to get one some need multiple copies of to even be used. Many of the players are now considering leaving this game if no changes are made, which is really sad to see.

First Vanguard Video Game Experience
I’m enjoying my first time playing cardfight vanguard video game there’s still more things for me to learn about but I’m enjoying playing the video game version. The game rules and cards skills are easier to understand hopefully the game will goes up to the cardfight vanguard g anime story too and there cards released to us to play with it. However I do wish that the game voices and cutscenes was in english dub version hopefully it might happens in a future update are something but overall I’m having fun playing the game especially the story mode.

Good game. Just wish they gave better structure decks for new players
I played vanguard in real life for couple years. Looking for digital version since I’m busy nowadays. This definitely scratches the itch, just a couple of time changes. But otherwise, great game. Wish tutorial was longer since you have to manually complete the advance tutorials, but since i played real life vanguard i have prior knowledge always.
If a PC version comes out that is the same as real life vanguard that would be perfect.

Kinda Fun, Kinda Stupid, Mathematical Errors Too
So unlike most this is the first way I’ve ever played vanguard. It feel fun and exciting that being said what brought me here is wanting to learn how to play without going out and buying cards and trying to figure it out on my own. I haven’t had any real issues with getting cards so that’s good. But I don’t like the idea of having the decks be built significantly smaller and shifting around the triggers. If it’s vanguard it should be just that vanguard. Also in the advanced training there is a mathematical error on “use Skill 1” you 1,000 attack points short no matter how you mix it up.

The best way to get started playing card fight Vanguard
I fell in love with card fight Vanguard through the anime and found the cards really neat and the game interesting not knowing where to start i’m not really having anyone to play with I collected the cards overtime but not really sure what clan I would personally use though I love quite a few when I heard of this app I immediately had to download it and it’s been fun it’s been great if you have the anime you’re going to love this I’m starting out I’d recommend this app I hope the fan base grows through this app to

High Effort, Varied Returns
There are many apps that bring an online feel to playing card games. For fans of Cardfight!! Vanguard, this is a welcome return at first glance. The game is a bit different, removing the guard feature from every card except sentinels and placing triggers on Grade 3 units. However, it’s easy to get used to and provides the same feel of strategy and varied play style that the original card game brought. However, while the game is free to play friendly, you need to invest A LOT OF TIME to make it work for you. Some complain about making it pay to win. While you can pay to get more packs, these do not assure you if getting every card you need. The playing field can be evened out in that way. However, where the game is skewed is in the amount of time you need to spend in order to get better. You need to take this game seriously in order to make it worth your while. If you are just a pick up and play person, you may not enjoy it as much. For those who are in this for the competition and want to climb competition ladders and rank, you will enjoy yourself.

Vanguard but not really...
Alright so I was really excited about this game when it was announced because I wanted a virtual cardfight option to build and test decks. Then I tried it...and I was disappointed. It’s a real shame too because it gives you anime vibes playing it. When it loads it plays anime scenes or soundtracks helping you get into it. You can set your favorite character as your home character to interact with. Of course you get to play your favorite clans too. However...do not expect it to be the game your familiar with. From the little bit I played, triggers aren’t a thing at least not how your familiar with. Triggers are now attached to grade 3 units. Grade 2 intercepts also different because you HAVE to attack a grade 2 because instead of the opponent using their intercept to guard with. They intercept by making you attack them before you can attack the vanguard by no choice of your own. It also seems like you get a boost from every unit you drive check too. It’s just horrible, no one should honestly play this game if you’ve never played before because it’s not how vanguard really plays at all. So if you wish to play an entirely different game that has nothing to do with the actual card game go for it. However I am severely put off by the fact it doesn’t even try to remain consistent with the actual game.

Issue
My issue is some cards dosnt work like it’s suppose to so you go into a rank game thinking the card dose something and then it didn’t activate it’s ability and you loose but you spend mad crafting materials on this card and no you have to remove it from your desk that you based around that card so it breaks the whole deck I just want my cards to be useful I see the phone game I a tad bit different then the physical game that’s fine but you should fix your cards to reflect that not make them not work at all

Vanguard already is laced with a few problems inherently as a card game. Extremely luck dependent due to triggers that occur randomly and drastically alter the state of the game(it is fun tho, but card games are already laden with luck issues). And a sort of pay wall to play viable decks, more so than other major card games like Pokémon, yugioh, and some others(not sure about magic).
And this mobile version of the game carries those same problems but worse. At least in real life you can buy specific cards you need for a deck. In this game crafting elements are split in 3 rarities and then further divided between clans. Unlike TEPPEN where you only have one element for crafting this game has a ton, and they require either hundreds, no maybe thousands of gacha pulls! (copies of cards beyond 4 get turned into the materials) The other way to get materials is grinding. Which is normal for free to play games, but the amount of time spent grinding for good cards is ridiculous. The easiest way to “git gud” is to just pay for crystals to use on card packs which ain’t cheap. I literally opened 120 packs on the latest banner and was barely able to make TWO decent decks. Oh and banners have 4 or 5 different clans so that also makes it hard to build specific decks too.
Overall the game is fun. But these hurdles to actually play, is a little too high.

Disappointed
Honestly, I was super excited when I came across this app. I spent a lot of time playing through pvp, making decks, etc. Right now I’m waiting to get paid before I invest money into this game. I really liked the Dark Irregulars clan, so I spent most of my resources on that clan. I’m honestly so upset with the story missions. The free Gacha tickets are locked behind me playing the story decks (which I understand), but I honestly have only bad cards for those clans. I’m literally locked right now bc one of the NPC duels literally gets non stop crit triggers on me, non stop intercepts, and I never get my heal triggers (trust me, I have the max amount of heal triggers). I’ve spent 30 minutes already on this one match and can’t beat it bc every turn he just crit triggers me. I’m honestly glad I didn’t spent any money on this app yet bc honestly I shouldn’t be this annoyed on a story mission! Seemed to be a great game, but I’m not gonna pull my hair out over story missions (which I have to do to get more stamina, gacha cards, etc.)

Amazing game with potential to be Best
This is my very first Gatcha game and luckily it doesn’t feel like they are pushing you too much to spend money. They reward gameplay time pretty well with all the incentives on p2p ranked fight.
I have spent a good amount of money to save me some time and catch up; I don’t regret any of it. My love for CARDFIGHTVanguard has been brought back with the intense matches and opportunities to learn new decks and mechanics.
I am bumping two stars for all the recycled material and lack of optimization for the iPhone and iPad Pro screen sizes. I would really appreciate having original animations for the cards and story. The cut outs really ruin the gameplay for me so updating that and perfecting the UI would be great.
I hope they continue to not make it so cluttered it was hard enough learning the mechanics of how to earn cards and reward exchanges.
Overall, it’s a good game but has the potential to be a great game. I will not stop playing it and if they continue to improve the application I don’t see myself burning out at all.

Fantastic Game but 1 Issue
This is such a fantastic game and the only online version of Cardfight! I have found. It is extremely well done and brings back so many memories! One issue though is that sometimes a trigger won’t work. For example, the heal trigger. In online and solo battles the heal trigger does not heal you when calculating damage, and only triggers its effect if you draw it during a drive check on your own attack. I lost a few online games due to the trigger not working the one time it should be. And in the tutorial for the heal trigger it is the only time that the heal trigger function actually works. But still, overall this is an amazing game with so much potential, and has a story pretty based on the anime!

Favoritism and Unfairness
The game is fun and competitive but it shows a bit of favoritism towards certain clans, because I invested a lot of money on here and when I open up certain packs where it’s an event going on to support that clan like the Gacha pack for Dark Irregulars or Aqua Force but instead I get rare cards from different clans.
I’m just saying, if the likelihood of getting that clan is boosted, then you should be able to get those cards.
When playing the story or Character fights, the characters tend to get certain cards to their advantages and on Character fight-the higher the difficulty, the more power they get, that’s unfair because how you think people are going to be able to get 4 damage and beat them within 6 turns or less. I think that should be changed to at least starting off with damage. Giving them 1k and 2k is too much.
If we can’t get the right cards from the packs and the game don’t offered better ways to give them out other than having an certain amount of VPs, then maybe it should be an event or reduce the amount of materials it takes to craft cards.
They should add more items and cards onto the exchange store because it only got certain characters and cards to exchange coupons and tickets for.
Also, it should be 5 tickets to be equal to one gacha ticket and maybe try fixing your shuffle system because you could discard a grade 3, just to get that same card back into your hand

Fun until you start doing the mandatory hard level character fights
Literally when you have to start doing the hard level character fights in this game, which you practically need to do if you want to get good cards, like Dragonic Overloard, your opponent’s units are all boosted by 1000 power, and when there’s a slight chance of the AI losing, they get literally all the drive triggers they need in order to win, and a real kicker, they always have a set hand and field so there’s no chance of them bricking and giving you a chance. Also you for the story, it gets to the point that it is rigged against you, without fail against Granblue in chapter 5 with royal paladins, and tested with other decks you will; pretty much start the game with 2 damage because the computer always gets a critical during their damage, no matter what get put to 5 damage at some point, and when you’re at 5/4 damage and he has his grade 3 he will always get a critical. I did that fight 30 times, 10 times with Royal Paladin, Kagero, and Nova Grappler, same results.

Pros and cons
I’m glad Bushiroad finally released the app, but I still wish it was like the original style as a whole
Pros: gacha fun, the additional create a room and visit is entertaining, card crafting, and the rewards for ranking up and VP is cool.
Cons: the mechanics in the game. Intercept units need to die first, power upon damage, and Grade 3’s drawn are triggers drawn and when you drive them, they do not stay in hand. Kind of makes persona blast specific cards difficult to work with.
The power adjustment of many cards seems to hinder play for SOME players, though not all.
Getting grade stuck. The hand limit being at 9 and when you drive, since you don’t get the card to hand, if you’re missing a grade and you drive check the card, if you don’t have the draw trigger to even chance that grade to the hand, it goes to the bottom and you just flat out die. Seldom chance of even a comeback.
Hand limit reaching 9. If you have a huge hand that can’t be used and yo draw cards, they’re trashed. :/
Lastly, ride chain. The fact that we cannot make the stacks for ride chains like Gallahad or Tsukuyomi makes it a complete pain. They’re randomized until mid/late game and you have to work those resources to the very end to try and set up stacks which is far tougher than in the real TCG
The app is fun, but just be careful as this game is a complete twist from the original.

Everyone in ranked is a autoclicker bot
If you want to play a serious digital card game, don’t both with this one. The first few seasons were very fun but currently there are too many people using autoclickers to farm VP 24/7. Because of this, you might play against 5 bots before you get to play an actual player. On top of that, people use Ride Chains, PG, and Heals in order to rank up because when they play against other bots. Theres even a guy who got Legend 70 and rank 675 using an autoclicker. This is unfair for people who actually spend the time to play a bunch of ranked games every day in order to reach the same Rank and because more and more people using Ride Chain autoclickers, it has become very hard to reach top 100 even with serious play. I understand people will be upset if they can’t get their 100 free packs every season from running their autoclickers 24/7 but there is no point to any of this if the gameplay is so boring and tedious.
