Terrible
I downloaded the app and almost instantly deleted it. It's literally the pages of the magazine on your phone screen. You have to flick through six pages of ads before you get to anything. Then it's far too tiny to read. Really poor.
Multiple issues
Too bad I have problems accessing this app way too often. It crashes since installing iOS 17, but had problems before as well. Invest some money in your digital presence please.
The app is dead
The app does not show you anything. Can’t log in, can’t see My Account section, or anything at all. Links inside the Help section get you to an Error page. Fantastic!
This app is literally useless.
Pages are cropped by the notch. Top bar blocks content. Just delete this and refer to the website. The lack of quality makes me consider quitting my subscription. Icing on the cake is that there is no other app in GER and it’s only possible to read the magazine.
Old app allowed searching this one doesn’t
Old fashioned app
No way of sorting the articles by subject or length

The format
I love vanity fair however the format for the ap is terrible it makes reading un enjoyable experience This really needs to be reviewed as I will not be renewing in the future if this is not rectified which is such a shame
Terrible app
App remains malfunctioning for years. Despite readers complaining about it, Conde Nast doesn’t seem bothered to fix.
Content unreadable on iPad and iPhone XR, despite settings being adjusted: page doesn’t fit the screen but rather is pushed up to the top of the page.

Unreadable because of app design
I love the content of Vanity Fair. But man, I just wanna read the articles in a comfortable, easy to read format. This app can’t do that for me. It’s nothing more than a glorified scan. It’s wildly uncomfortable to read in a digital format. It’s unfortunate, because the content is great. But this app is so badly designed it’s totally unusable. I have a handful of other magazine apps, all of which have been adapted to the format. Why can’t Condé Nast do it? I bought a year-long digital subscription. I wish I hadn’t.

BRING GRAYDON CARTER BACK
the magazine has become lightweight since Carter left. I hate the new format and I am contemplating cancelling my subscription
Quite a bad app but great VF content
The page links are not accurate and don’t take you to the right page. The magazine is just a scan of the paper copy which is terribly formatted for iPad. They need to have it designed to read on an iPad. Fit the pages properly, have the pictures set up properly. A lot of work needs to be done to the app. Great content though

Please fix the app
I used to love reading the magazine on the app but am finding it too small and frustrated with the fact it is the same as print format i.e. the end the article is pages in but not easy to get to. Please fix!
Disappointing
It feels like it’s just screen grabs of the hard copy magazine. There doesn’t seem to be any additional functionality such as the ability to jump to an article from the index at its most basic. For a prestigious title and publishing house in the second decade of internet publishing this is ridiculous.

From bad to worse
It’s turned from an elegant interactive magazine into a pdf file and I can no longer access my purchased 2012 issues which are no longer available along with recent issues that I subscribed and spent an entire morning contacting Apple to get a refund on each disappeared issue that requested a re purchase !

Incredibly poor performance
The app is absolutely infuriating and it went from awful to unbearable (when you think it could not decline any further), with the chopped layout of photos and miniature text, mislabelled pages, no interactive features etc etc etc. I gave it 5 years. Had to cancel my subscription in the end.
Hopeless
I’m not a fan of the updated VF ap. The old one was wayyyy better. Easy to navigate and read. You could tap a article heading on the front cover and it would take you straight to the article.. this format is hopeless, the page numbers in the drop down box don’t align to the page numbers in the articles and the layout of the pages makes it hard to read on an iPad as you keep having to move it around. Not sure how any one or the developers thought this version was an improvement... I use it minimally and only if I’m desperate to read something 🤬

Vanity fair on iPad
So far absolute GARBAGE - what a dreadful design almost purposely designed to be unhelpful and awkward
Needs work
I have subscribed but have two different customer numbers and I’ve emailed repeatedly about merging accounts and nothing but crickets. I’d like to read the issues from my latest subscription but can’t as it will only recognise one account without tech support
Cutting edge to bottom of the barrel
As far as magazine apps go, VF was fantastic, so much interactivity. Twitter feeds embedded, interactive diagrams, fantastic user centred design at work! I’d been a long term print subscriber and switched to the digital edition and loved it.
Then... what happened? Since March 2018 it’s like the work experience kid put the print edition on the scanner and they published that! Gone are the accessible features, scrolling is a nightmare and even trying to zoom to read it is cumbersome. Along with a completely unnecessary masthead and cover rethink, the app is awful. Is it analog cool? It’s cover to cover stupid design decisions and I have cancelled my subscription.
