About
You finish an earnings report and stop at the same question every time: so what is this company actually worth? This is a notebook for writing the answer down — in numbers and in words — for Japanese stocks.
HOW IT WORKS
• Measure: 17 calculators, from fair value by PER × EPS through PEG, EV/EBITDA, a simple DCF and margin of safety. Results update as you type, so you can nudge an assumption and watch how far the answer moves.
• Record: one note per company — your thesis, what would break it, and three prices: fair value, the most you will pay, a stop level. Log trades and dividends; cost basis and P&L fill in on their own.
• Learn: a 65-term glossary and 20 lessons, including what is particular to Japan — trading lots, the Tokyo exchange's market segments, NISA allowances. One lesson explains what has to be true for a company trading below book value to be re-rated. The answer is inside.
ALSO INCLUDED
• A ten-item checklist before every buy — a stock you cannot answer for is a stock you are not ready to own
• One search across notes, terms, calculators and lessons
• Compound and contribution simulator, NISA planner, position sizing
• Gain colors in the Japanese convention (red for up) or the Western one; Japanese and English interface
There is no market data feed and no trading. You enter the figures and make the decisions yourself. Vanurdex is the ledger that keeps the process honest.
