Dynamic comments with dramatic music

Our teenagers and us were captivated by the concise information but complete information. The music in the background of the comments added a dramatic touch and is a great plus.

Good app, needs to inform about media downloads
Good app with decent information about the various sections of the Vatican Museum. I especially enjoyed the parts about the Sistine Chapel. However, the developer needs to add a section in the apps description about the need to download additional data files after the app download and to do this while you’re still on Hotel WiFi. I bought the app while I was already in town and was under the impression that the 25MB app download included the media files. But after opening the app for the first time it wants to download an additional 130MB of data, which took almost 30 minutes over a LTE connection with multiple network time outs from the apps CDN. Without these additional files the app won’t work.

As imagens disponíveis no App são todas de internet (Wikipedia). As informações contidas nos áudios estão disponíveis vídeos grátis no YouTube. Não se justifica o preço por esse app. Frustrante.

Hello for reason concerning the Vatican copyright we preferred to use custom drawn and to link to wikipedia for original pictures. About the fact that our the audio files are available for free on YouTube is simply not true. - Olá por razões relativas aos Vatican direitos autorais, preferimos usar personalizado desenhado e vincular a Wikipedia para fotos originais. Don’t waste your money
I’ve tried the picture recognition on dozens of pictures in the museum. None was recognized by the app. Total disappointment.

Simply the best app for the Vatican Museums. There might even be another app more complete, but not as good as this one. It’s breath taking!!

Worth buying!
This app is well worth the money. A little difficult to navigate at first, but when you get the hang of it the maps are very helpful. A lot of in-depth information about the artworks. Helpful in the Vatican and fun to relive the Vatican at home.
Do not waste your money
This product is very disappointing. Much of the sound is non-existent or garbled to the point that you cannot understand what is being said.
excellent basic tour
As an art history teacher who has done 8 trips through the Vatican with and without students , this is a great introduction to the basic Vatican museums . I would like to see the gallery photos expanded that you see by turning the device sideways , and wish all the numbers were video over voiced. I would love other museums and parts of the Vatican covered and st. Pete's , Fran Angelico's , St. Nicholas chapel, and the other museums , like the carriage museum covered as an add on to the one day tour shone . Also more info hot spots and perhaps a chronology of the Popes. thanks for a great education tool and an enjoyable afternoon re- living the Vatican tour with my daughter . I am giving this to my new chaperone as an intro.

Disappointing.
I have just downloaded this app but unfortunately I can't understand anything as it is jerky and seems to be faulty.
Vatican app
Used this app during a recent visit to the Vatican museums. Despite not being able to follow the planned route due to closures of certain sections of the museum, we found it to be very informative. The Sistine chapel information was particularly impressive and drew much interest from other visitors as we looked at the close ups of each part of the chapel. A much cheaper and informative alternative to the audio guide offered by the museum.

Could do more
A well executed app that skips most of the museum to focus on the Sistine chapel. What is there is really well done but at £4.99 you would hope for more detail and information in the other areas.

Mostly excellent app!
My family and I really enjoyed this app. There is a lot of info in the guide. And it's cheaper than the on site audio guides that you can use at the museum. Plus when you are finished at the museum, the material can be reviewed at a later time, something we all did due to the overwhelming amount of material at the museum.
The only negatives you might note are that a few of the lesser attractions have text but no audio info and that there is no way to keep the audio continuing from one attraction to the next. Once you've heard the spiel, the audio stops, you have to pull out your phone or ipod to select the next exhibit and hit the play button. Also if you want to pause the playback you have to take out your device, open it and hit the pause button. If you use your earphone controls to stop playback, when you hit them again to resume, your iTunes music will begin, not the app. Minor inconveniences for an otherwise great app.

Not HD at all
I paid for this app to use with a school group on tour of Rome and took my ipad along but the app runs in a small window like an iphone app and is very blocky when you zoom in. There appears to be no update for this. Very disappointed.

Awesome app
Used this on a night time Vatican Museum tour and very satisfied with the information on the app. Highly recommended...sat down for an hour inside Sistine Chapel to marvel while listening to my iPhone narration.
