You're right, and I'm sorry. The 1.3 update should have grandfathered you into unlimited access automatically, and it didn't. That's on me. Two ways to fix it: email vaultai.support@gmail.com right now and I'll send you a free code that unlocks unlimited access immediately, no data lost. Or wait a couple of days for version 1.4, which is in review with Apple now and will unlock you automatically the moment you update. Thanks for flagging this and sorry for the trouble.
