Safe great. app terrible. Keeps crashing when pairing
Solid basics
The app is very basic but doesn’t allow all that much control. Also it’s strange there are 5 different apps in the App Store.
wrong app
On the quick start guide it says to download this app and has this app logo on it. But the owner's manual has a different app. I wasn't able to get this app to work with my safe.
Pattern unlock is stupid.
The pattern unlock is the worst part.
VAULTEK safe
Does this app even work anymore? It worked great when I first got the safe, but 7 years later, it doesn’t see my safe.
Horrible
This app is horrible, I always have to repair my safe and my easy access adapter. When repairing the app crashes. Straight trash

Update: 9/6/23 Still junk! Bluetooth connectivity issues, no push notifications and clunky old and outdated UI. Customer service? None, which is even worse. Zero stars from me!

Support told me over a year ago (June 2020) that updates were coming. Uhhhhh ok. Need a reliable gun safe? Stay away from VAULTEK. Many other better choices.

Worthless
Following instructions on App, completely unable to pair with safe. App isn’t much good if I cannot pair with the safe.
Worthless App nice safe
I bought my slider series 2 yrs ago. Just got around to getting it mounted and working. Love the safe. Very dissatisfied with the Bluetooth feature. It’s nice for a day until it can’t find the safe. I have done the soft reset and started over 4 days in a row. It just doesn’t stay connected. Bluetooth was the reason I bought the one I did. Should have save my money on that feature. App needs a huge makeover or safe needs better connectivity. Or maybe if you can’t seem to make it work quit selling a Bluetooth version.

History log useless
Doesn’t record tampering events or access using key. You can enable the keypad to alert when the key is used or the lock is picked but it doesn’t actually record the event. Since the safe can be picked in about 30 seconds (see youtube) this is critical info to record. Wish I knew this before purchase.

Love the safe, not the app
The safe itself is perfect! I’ve never had a single issue aside from the occasional fingerprint not working but I’m assuming it’s user error. The app on the other hand is not good. It says it was supposed to send notifications on when the safe is opened or attempted to be opened - it doesn’t. When I go to my phones settings to check the notification settings of the app- the app doesn’t even show up. Those notifications were the major selling point in why I picked this safe as apposed to a less expensive but similar safe. I’ll definitely save the money and go for the lesser next time as not having a working app makes this not worth the price.

Face ID??
The shape code vs using Apple’s face ID isn’t practical. I rarely use the App, but when I do, I can’t remember that dumb code. I had to delete the app and haven’t gotten around to reinstalling. Developers being too smart for their own good.

Clunky app - needs push notifications
This app is pretty easy to use despite being clunky, and it does an alright job of showing the vault status. This would be a four star review if this app had ONE feature - push notifications!!! I’ve looked everywhere and cannot find any way to set up push notifications… which means the only way I’m going to know the status of my vault is by opening the app every time I want to make sure no one’s tampered with it?? Push notifications would be a proactive way for us to know if something has changed so we can respond to it appropriately. Please add this feature!!

Very Outdated
It appears this app is no longer being maintained/developed. Good product, but bad app. If you are buying a safe because of this app, I would think again. I don’t trust an app that is not being maintained.
It doesn’t work
After I changed my password, deleted and reinstalled the app, it stopped working. Now it just shows a message that says “no VAULTEK safe found” I don’t recommend the app nor the safe

Fire your Dev Please or put some of your capitol toward making better. I mean UI/UX is horrendous. I Love the safes, I own 2 now. Could be so much better.

The Bluetooth the pro vt doesn’t always want to connect to the vaultek app but otherwise it’s a great pistol safe
