Veg Stars

Veg Stars is an app for families who want to help their children eat more vegetables. It’s very common for young children to refuse vegetables, which can be worrying and frustrating for families. Veg Stars is here to help, developed by child feeding experts from the universities of Loughborough, Bedfordshire, Aston and UCL in the UK. The app includes tips and information for encouraging children to eat vegetables (including the 3 Rs method – Reoffering, Role-modelling, Rewarding), as well as tools to help you put them into action. The app contains the following features: • How to – learn new tips and ideas to encourage your child to eat more veg • Veg diary – track your progress with 1-3 focus vegetables at a time • Star chart – celebrate your child’s progress and show them how well they’re doing • Matching game – reward children with a veg-themed game so they learn as they play
