About
VeinScan turns your iPhone camera into a live vein visualiser. It analyses every frame, recombines the colour channels into a narrow synthetic wavelength band, and boosts local contrast - so the veins beneath the skin stand out clearly on screen.
HOW IT WORKS
A camera sees the world through wide red, green and blue channels. VeinScan mixes those channels into a much narrower band that you tune yourself, anywhere from 500 to 1000 nm. It then flattens uneven lighting, applies adaptive local contrast enhancement, and filters out fine hair, leaving a high-contrast live map of the vessels under the skin.
PIN IT IN PLACE WITH AR
Found a good view? Tap ANCHOR and the enhanced image is pinned in 3D space, right over the arm. Built on ARKit - and on the LiDAR scanner where the device has one - the anchored image stays locked in position while you move the phone around it and look from another angle. Optional hand tracking follows the limb if it shifts.
FEATURES
- Live spectral enhancement, tunable from 500 to 1000 nm
- Four view modes: Normal, Spectrum, Inverse and Vessels
- Adjustable bandwidth, contrast, illumination flattening and hair filtering
- AR anchoring - pin the enhanced image in 3D space and walk around it
- Hand tracking keeps anchors aligned when the limb moves
- LiDAR depth and surface fitting on supported devices
- Exposure bracketing for steady shots
- Torch control, freeze frame, zoom and adjustable overlay opacity
- Collapsible control panel for a full-screen preview
- English and Hungarian
PLEASE READ
VeinScan is an experimental visualisation tool. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, measure or treat anything, and it is not intended for any clinical or diagnostic use. What you see is a contrast-enhanced camera image, and how well it works depends a great deal on lighting, skin tone and which iPhone you are using. Never rely on it for a medical decision.
PRIVACY
Everything runs on the device. VeinScan has no account, needs no network connection, and never collects, stores or transmits your images or any personal data.
