I bought 6 bulbs through Kickstarter.
App sucks. Throwing bulbs in the trash.

Not stable
Setting up the flame bulb is not intuitive. Flip on and off multiple times? That’s silly.
Bug in the iOS software-
1. Install app and login
2. Attempts to connect to bulb WiFi
3. Connection fails
4. Close app.
5. Reopen app- app gives errors and will hang.
6. Must uninstall and install

Ordered three devices from this company and none of them connect to WiFi thanks to their obtuse pairing system. Seriously, just add a button or something.
The bulb works great — but no Google home link?
The bulbs looks and works as expected with one exception.
There doesn’t seem to be a way to link their app to Google home (Alexa instructions are provided in their app) but Google doesn’t seem to recognize the app for adding any reliable automation.
I only use Google home for automation and this bulb declares that it works with Google but I can’t really see that it does.

Had issues connecting originally but seems to be fixed now

This issue has been fixed with the latest version (1.1.0). Please update to this version on the App Store and let us know what else we can do to improve the app.
Learn curve but works great so far
I admit the pairing function took a bit to understand and it took a bit to get it to work but after my lights were paired with the wifi they are looking wonderful! Absolutely obsessed 🥰
Awesome lightbulbs!
I love my velaflame bulbs! They look amazing and I love that I am able to control them with my phone. It seems like there are a few bugs with the app—I couldn’t get the scheduling feature to work and it doesn’t look like there’s a preset to get back to the default natural flame color—but I’m sure all of the will be fixed in updates. Overall I’m very happy with my velaflame bulbs!

Works well once bulbs are set up
I get this is a v1 app, so some hiccups are expected. Once I got the bulbs connected, the app worked great. You need to make sure to get the bulbs in the purple mode by turning off for a few seconds, turning on for a few seconds, and repeating 3 or 4 times. Also try different WiFi access points

Have been looking for realistic flame bulbs for a long time. Love that I can control with my phone and Alexa
Needs a lot of improvement
There’s no way to reset lights to their original color (it’s not a listed preset which is disappointing). The schedule function does not seem to work, at least not using sunset/sunrise. There’s also not a group schedule option, each one needs to be done individually.
Additionally the app is difficult to pair to the lights, and will crash mid pairing.

Glitchy
My lights were beautiful until I connected them to the app and now one of them won’t turn on. There is no way to adjust the brightness or reset them. I just unpaired mine.
