Awesome cycle touring
I used VeloPlanner to plan routes for our family bikepacking tour across Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands. It’s been a fantastic aid for exploring and planning routes, finding paths and low-traffic roads with suitable surfaces and gradients; pointing us to en route options for grocery shopping, dining and bike repair/maintenance; breaking up longer routes into stages with campsites; and syncing said stages with my Garmin Edge bike computer for navigation. In general, VeloPlanner’s routing has proved to be far superior to Google or Apple Maps bike routing, and also better than my Garmin Edge 840’s internal routing. The latter 3 have sometimes routing via stairs (painful on a loaded touring bike) or higher traffic roads, where VeloPlanner’s routes have resulted in far fewer U turns and rerouting stops. A few minor limitations perhaps indicate VeloPlanner’s relative youth - syncing with the Garmin isn’t always straightforward (best to do it before setting off); occasionally the maps miss a short cut and route you a slightly longer way; and merging stages in the iOS app doesn’t appear to be possible at this point (but can be done on the web app). However, given the quality of the product, I wouldn’t be surprised if these are improved in the near future! Overall, VeloPlanner is the best cycle route planning app I’ve used. I highly recommend it!

Perfect for planning a long trip
I used this app to plan a 12day cycling trip and it made the whole process so much easier. I imported an official GPX route and from there I could easily split into daily stages based on the campsite and hotel displayed along the way.

Beste App zum Planen Biketour
Neben Komoot und Outdooractive ist die hier meiner Meinung nach eindeutig die beste App zum Planen von Touren. Wegpunkte können einfach bearbeitet werden und Radwege sind klar sichtbar auf der Karte. Manchmal ist der Editor noch etwas fummelig, doch hier kommt man kostenlos immer noch besser weg als bei den Alternativen. 5 Sterne!

Auslandsfahrten internationale Routen
Guten Tag, ich nutze seit ein paar Wochen diese AAP. Bin unterwegs zum Mittelmeer und soweit zufrieden.
Was ihr noch ändern/anpassen solltet ist, dass wenn ich die internationalen Routen einmal aktiviert habe, diese dann auch in den verschiedenen Modis erhalten bleiben.
Das Gerät weiß doch durch das GPS Signal, dass ich international reise.
