At first I did not expect Venice to be all that scientifically rigorous or comprehensive. So I used it to double check Grok, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. Venice found technical errors and corrected them. I.e., setting the record straight for how the 1964 Triumph Spitfire 4, MK1, with the 1147cc engine should set the firing order, points and condenser. I found out that the first 3 years 62,63, 64, the distributor runs counter clockwise. That made all the difference!

Amazingly permissive AI and probably my favourite to use to date.
But runs into issues of repeating itself and looping the same sentences over and over after the chat has gone on for more than a day or so.

One of the best Private AI routers. Gives you more flexibility. I used Lumo Ai for months but now switched to Venice as i have way more flexibility

Good potential, not there.
I have used two chat AI’s now, ChatGPT and Venice. So do not know very many and review from that perspective. I use the program primarily for story telling and for image creation. I also use it for ideas for games I hope to make. I use it on phone as a free version and on home computer as a paid version.
.Firstly the good. The ability to take a photo and turn it into a video is excellent, and a genuinely fun feature. (Not the free version) in image creation the quality is quite high. I think the potential to the system is there, and have rated it higher as a result. Not being stopped with ridiculous over the top sensitivity is a huge plus, in both story telling and image generation.
The bad. The free version is very limited and cuts out quickly as a comparison. The video creation while good, is subject to credits, the use of which is exceptionally vague, and unless you pay a fortune I suspect is not really useful compared to other dedicated video creation apps. I’d like to explore this further but I don’t believe it to be feasible.
The story telling is buggy as hell, and cannot be considered a good program unless they fix this issue. Not only the forgetfulness or story drift, which is common in this sort of AI, but it locks into repetitiveness and cannot get out of this story locking.
The other thing is it will as an example say “I will be a a a a a” repeating the a 3000 times until it’s overridden manually by the user. It will ‘apologise’ but then do exactly the same thing, same with the repetitiveness. Image generation is sharp, BUT is very…. Uncooperative and refuses to correct an image, which is very frustrating. Also stories that are created simply vanish sometimes. If it’s not fixed I won’t recommend it. I think it’s a shame because I think it has a lot of potential, but isn’t there yet.

I wish it had the ability to remember
I understand that the privacy helps but having to start over each and every time you need to talk to your AI is rather annoying because you have to tell the story 1 million times and sometimes you need to work through something and I can’t remember

You guys need to fix your error systems. Mine always pops up with “unexpected error” after I regenerate a message once or twice.

Lied to me in very first interaction
I downloaded this app in hopes of using it with image editing and generation. I download it, 2 minutes later I send it a photo and ask it to edit it a certain way. The chat bot said “I can’t do that because you’ve exhausted your daily image generation usage” I said I downloaded you 5 minutes ago how is that possible? Chat says “oh that’s my mistake, I see the confusion, I actually am not capable of editing images, only generating new images” I said so the very first interaction I ever had with you minutes after downloading you, you lied to me. Chat says yes I’m very sorry about that I shouldn’t have done it. I said I’m deleting you, report this conversation to your creators so they can see what happened. Goodbye.

Doesn’t Censor
I can’t even get Grok to say what I want anymore, so I use this. Great app. Works just as stated, doesn’t tell you your opinion is wrong. Highly recommend.
