Locked up and unresponsive
I was looking forward to using this app but as the title indicates, all it does is lock up at the get go and is unresponsive. Waste of time and data-
Great orientation info to prepare for trip
This app really helped me to understand the lay of the land in Venice and provided essential info for preparing for my trip heading to a complicated place!
Venice travel guide
I have downloaded this app just before my trip to Italy. We landed in Rome and went straight to Venice. I was pretty lost at the beginning as I didnt know you could not get into downtown driving so I decided to use this venice travel guide to help me find the main attractions I wanted to see. I am really happy with the performance of the app and I took advantage to also book a vip dinner with my wife after a gondola ride. This city is amazing, if you havent visited yet, you should put it in your bucket's list.

Under rated
Low raters of this app have some valid points but actually it is really excellent. It contains dozens of ‘points of interest’ icons which provide quite extensive descriptions and with automated voice readings which is a nice feature. The photography is exceptionally good. You won’t find better anywhere.
There are many other icons for eating places, hotels, boat services etc., but no banks, and no information other than the name. There are no street names on the map but anyone who’s tried to find their way around a city like this by street names knows it’s not much fun. The map colours make it probably the easiest to see in daylight. It’s a bitmap map though rather than a vector line map which is a shame. There’s no excuse for this but it works well enough.
There’s quite extensive information on restaurants and shopping but no way to find anything on the map. There is no search facility at all.
The strangest part of the app though is the tours booking service. Again, an extensive selection of guided tours which are bookable from the app. It could be excellent but there’s no information at all about the vendors. Closer inspection reveals that it’s through Viator but you have to give credit card details to find out more.
I don’t think it’s overpriced for what it does well but it could and should be better.

Third trip to Venice
This is my third trip to Venice and this guide made my life easier. I took the tour to Murano and it was the first time for my wife there, we loved it. The guide has all you need at no price. Really like the design and the ability to be able to navigate offline specially while using the maps.
I recommend this travel guide if its your first time in the city or even if you already know the city.

Irritating
Pretty useless information but solicitation to upgrade to the paid app pops up every thirty seconds or so. VERY irritating
Misleading
Automatic prompts to give them money as soon as the free app opens
Terrible app!
Do not waste your money! There is almost no detail in the map. Forget about things as simple as street names. Send me six dollars and I'll send you an ink drawing of Venice on a napkin for you.
Not usable for free
Very misleading. You can't do anything with this app without doing a $5 in-app purchase. It's not free at all! Waste of a download.
Rubbish
Ended up paying for this whilst trying to close app. Once I paid its functionality was garbage or it crashed. Save yourself the money and pick up free map in Venice.
Terrible app
Constantly shuts down, does not show street level maps. No instructions- not worth a penny.

Horrible
Don't waste your money on a nap that doesn't allow you to zoom in on the street names. Doesn't allow you to map out a path from bus stop to boat port. Horrible app. Save your $5.49
Not useful requires multiple paid downloads
Purchased the Venice map and its not usable, you can't zoom in close enough to be able to navigate, the "Venice in X days" plan don't include advice of how to move between locations. Not useful as a guide at all, not recommended
Venice map
A con, no zoom, hopeless map. Should be removed from Apple
Average
Pics and info of sights is good. Map does not display street names!! Did a search on the map for Rialto and got no search results! Certainly couldn't use this to navigate around Venice.
Venice map
All I got was a blank screen. (It could be a map for use at night)
Mauvais achat
Mauvaise traduction, impossible de revenir en arrière une fois la carte ouverte, renseignements incomplets.
Venice Travel Guide
This app is an incredible tool for those who enjoy the feeling of being lost, and frustrated. Though the app includes a map feature, the maps are too small to be read. The GPS provided uses what seems to be a Guess and Point System rather than any functional positioning system. You'll find this app works best on clear nights when the North Star is visible. If given the choice, I'd sooner find my way across the moon with a stick and a blindfold than use this app again. One would be better off downloading a guide book. I am sure this is the beta version which was released by mistake.

It's not awful...
...but it's not terribly useful. The map is a wasted opportunity. That alone should be worth $5 or more, but it lacks necessary details and fails to do it's primary job: guide you through the dense, confusing "streets" of Venice. The decision to break up the suggested itineraries by the length of one's trip has potential, but even that is clumsily executed. For example, if you're staying for five days, you must first read the guides for 1, 2, and 3 day trips separately. And why certain things are only worth seeing on a longer trip is never explained. It appears to be based more on geography than anything else, which is a shame. Just because two things are close to each other doesn't make them of equal importance. And the information itself is mostly bland and incredibly superficial, barely scratching the surface of what makes Venice so unique and interesting. My wife's old fashioned guidebook was heavier and had no GPS function, but we found ourselves referring to it much, much more.

Not worth £2.99
I found this useful but only slightly! Generally this app was a disappointment for me and didn't make my trip any easier apart from the language bit.
