About
If the last few days have left you drained, sticky, and unsure what to do with your windows, you are not alone. When the heat will not let go, every choice feels heavy: open and let warm air in, or close and trap the warmth you already have?
Ventilate is a calm guide for exactly that moment. It looks at your local weather, your indoor temperature, and each window in your home, then tells you when to close, when to open, and where to place a fan so cool air actually reaches you. No lectures, no guilt. Just clear next steps when your head is too foggy to guess.
If you have air conditioning, check the windows first. When outdoor air is actually cooler, you can cool the home and run the AC less. Ventilate does not invent a number on your bill. It tells you the moment when air from outside can do the work.
Free to use
• Per-window advice: close, crack open, open wide, or fan placement
• Timing that follows the weather, not the clock
• Cool with outdoor air first when it helps, so you use less AC
• See how your indoor temperature has changed since yesterday, with a sparkline on the dashboard
• Temperature history chart: 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days to see how many degrees you cooled or warmed
• Fan guides for single-sided or cross-ventilation homes
• Gentle reminders before the next change
• Heat toolkit, Home Screen widget, Live Activity, Siri, and Shortcuts
Set up once, then breathe
Point your phone at each window so the app knows which way it faces and what is outside. Log your indoor temperature when you can. A thermometer helps, but you can start without one.
Ventilate Pro, optional subscription
Unlock outdoor air quality, pollen, UV index, and humidity on your dashboard. Pro feeds those signals into a sharper engine, so advice is clearer when cooler air is not always clean air to let in. Core window advice, history, widget, and toolkit stay free.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
