This release is a major performance and stability update focused on the Live Map. CRASHES FIXED • Fixed the crashes that could close the app while the Live Map was open. These were caused by map marker images being rebuilt continuously and never released, which pushed the app past its memory limit. • The app no longer blanks out when an unexpected error occurs. You now get a clear message and a "Try again" button, with your session preserved. A MUCH SMOOTHER MAP • Panning, zooming and following vehicles on the Live Map are dramatically smoother, including on large fleets. • Vehicle and cluster markers are only redrawn when something has actually changed, instead of several times a second. • Stationary vehicles no longer consume any drawing work at all. FREEZES FIXED • Fixed the long freeze that could occur when points of interest and geofences were switched on. All of them were being drawn at once, at every zoom level. • POIs now appear as you zoom in, and only the ones in view are drawn. MAP CONTROLS • The + zoom button now works reliably. • Vehicle groups separate correctly into individual vehicles as you zoom in. • Tapping a group of vehicles now zooms into it and splits it apart. BATTERY AND DATA • Several screens kept refreshing in the background after you navigated away from them. They now pause when not in view, which reduces battery drain and mobile data use. • The backup map engine is no longer loaded on devices that never use it. FASTER STARTUP • Removed unnecessary work from app launch, so the app becomes usable sooner.
