About

Verbatim Memory helps you memorize anything word for word. Type or paste the text you want to learn, then say it out loud. The app listens, turns your speech into text, and checks it against the original so you can see how close you got. Set a schedule to review entries, with one reminder a day when something is due. It works well for Bible verses, and for anything else you want to know by heart: poems, quotes, speeches, lines for a play, a toast, a creed. Speech recognition runs on your device. The app doesn't come with any text built in; you enter what you want to memorize.

What's New in Verbatim Memory

1.1

- Tap sentences on an entry's page to recite, copy, share, or translate just that part. - Duplicate an entry to trim it into a practice entry. - Sort your library alphabetically or in Bible book order, under Settings → Sort Order. - Start Over, while recording, discards the take so you can begin again. - Fairer grading: words the recognizer may have misheard, such as little words, plurals, and names, are marked unclear and still count toward Verbatim. - Recitations record from the iPhone's microphone even with AirPods connected. - Export Library, Replace Library, and Add to Library sit together in Settings. - Fixes for reminders, VoiceOver, and large text.
