Outstanding and indispensable

Verbum is part of my daily life. As a priest I am consulting it constantly to understand the scriptures more deeply. It makes accessing the original languages and ancient commentaries as easy as making a few clicks. The notes feature allows me to mark up scriptures and other important books so that I can remember and build on more than a decade of daily use. The collection of Catholic and other Christian resources is invaluable for research and writing. The cross-platform accessibility gives me access in the most convenient and useful ways. Verbum is a game changer.

Next Level Resources

I cannot remember what it was like to write Holly or research texts or read the Bible before Verbum. I also cannot imagine doing those things now without Verbum. This has completely reinvented the way I approach the Sacred texts and engage my faith.

on a few occasions that I have needed to get tech-support they have been fantastic. on one occasion, I needed to change my default payment details and again they were very helpful at Faith Life. I highly recommend this tool to any preacher or student who is interested in a well balanced / powerful learning and teaching tool.

Finding info with A1

I love Verbum, been using it for years in doing catholic research, study, personal reading and for writing homilies. With A1 becoming so useful I wonder if a Verbum A1 assistant might be on the horizon? It sure would be helpful to me.

Counterintuitive

Unfortunately, it just doesn’t seem to flow very well. Spent multiple clicks trying to get to a book that I already purchased incredibly frustrating. For non-technical people that just simply want to have a digital book to read. I think the application is in its infancy and need some upgrade. I’m sure it will probably get better but compared to. Online applications that allow you to buy a book and read it it pails by comparison.

Excellent resource for Bible Study

I have been using Verbum for a while. I primarily use it for reading scripture on a daily basis, but also for my in depth study of the Bible. With many commentaries, interlinears, and Bible maps, it is the best tool out there for anyone who wants to delve deeper into Scripture especially Catholics

There is depth here.

As a practicing lay Catholic I assure you, if you want to probe and understand the depth of scripture and your faith, you will find many, many tools at your fingertips. It won’t do your Examen for you. You will still need a daily praxis and daily prayer. You will still need to surrender your will, see Christ crucified in your neighbor and quench his/her thirst, physically and spiritually.

Are you ever curious as to the Greek or Hebrew behind the translation? What Augustine might have thought about this or that? There are tools to go as deep as you would like without carrying a stack of 15 books then paging around to get where you need. Want the Lectionary? It is there and all these resources are correlated.

Anyway, I would sorely miss Verbum if it wasn’t around!

So Complete

Very thorough and many tools for study. Greatly recommended.

Outstanding!!!!!

The subscription price makes this one of most affordable Bible study tools available. The monthly free book is too good of a deal to pass up. For any student of Scripture this is a must have “tool” to have in your “Faith Tool Box”. Navigation in program is easy and the customer support is exceptional.

Muy bueno

Muchas gracias por esta ayuda a los que estudiamos la Biblia

The best Catholic Bible study app

Incredible app, the best for Catholic study.
(Same as their Logos app). Have access to thousands of books, commentaries, Bibles, many free.
And they’re commonly integrated through links. And the software has many tools.
Best app by far.

What a Treasure

Great start for the Holy Hour. Free books are great gifts. God bless you all.

I share this app even with strangers

Highly highly ( repeated word on purpose) recommend this app. If you are new and trying to find verses this is the app for it. If you are looking for different versions of the bible, this is the app for it. You can highlight verses you like and my all time feature is the one where you can click on a word and you can see the original translation text giving you a deeper understanding of what the passage meant and the context of it.

This is for the most recent version

The most recent version is terrible. The dashboard layout removed what I always used and replaced it with things I do not want (Logos version things aimed at different denominations. Verbum is the Catholic version) and can’t remove. Please fix or roll back.

My favorite Bible app

Absolutely my favorite and I’ve shared this with friends. So amazing to have the Latin in its entire text.

Verbum is amazing

Get Verbum and build your personal library. It is amazing.

Difficult to get back to the table of contents

Easy to read and highlight. Opens where you stopped reading, which is good. The problem I have is trying to get back to the table of contents, so it makes it difficult if you want to change to a different chapter.

Upgrade ruins Verbum Mobile

Recently Verbum “upgraded” Its configuration making major changes to how the search functions worked. It is a complete disaster. Instead of intuitive stair forward searches based on scripture references or catechism paragraph, the new search function responds by giving a menu of largely meaningless information. I haves used Verbum for 10!years and when I complained to them about it they said I needed training. I just hope and pray they don’t scree up the PC. Person with the same untested software revision.

This app is a blessing

This app is the best for reading and studying the Bible and all other Catholic commentary and reference material. References and footnotes are linked to source texts if you own them. That means if you are reading the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible, the Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture, or any other text that references the Catechism or any other Verbum book you own, you can simply click on the reference and the reference text will pop up; and if you click on the popup, it will take you straight to section of the book from which the reference comes from. This makes it incredibly convenient to access references immediately without having to have the physical source text on a hand to find the reference within. It is immediate with one click. If you have a collection of Church documents and the works of Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, and the other Fathers, when you read the Catechism or any other book that references them, you can click on the reference and those source texts will automatically pop up in the same way. I love these features, and I love this app!

Great for study and homily preparation

I’ve been a user of Verbum for over 20 years. It gives me the ability to go deep into scripture and check multiple commentaries quickly.
