Verse-Mate

What's new in this version The Life of Jesus, the Bible read aloud, a verse on your home screen, and a reader that's faster and finally rotates: ◆ THE LIFE OF JESUS A new Jesus tab in the book selector walks through his life event by event. Browse by kind or by theme, or follow his life in order. Each event shows its Scripture the way the reader does, with Summary, By-Line, Study and Compare. The English edition is built into the app, so it works offline. ◆ LISTEN TO THE BIBLE Tap the speaker in the reader's header to hear the chapter narrated. Narration follows the translation you're reading, and you can pick the voice in Settings. Where the translation allows it, download the narration in Manage Downloads and listen offline. Swipe the player down to stop. ◆ VERSE INSIGHT, ON THE VERSE NUMBER Tap a verse's gold number to open its insight. Tapping an underlined word still opens its definition, and the two no longer get in each other's way. ◆ VERSE OF THE DAY, ON YOUR HOME SCREEN Add the VerseMate widget and a fresh verse is waiting before you open the app — in whichever translation you read in. Tap it to land on that exact verse, in its chapter, ready to read around it. ◆ A DAILY VERSE, DELIVERED Turn on the daily verse notification in Settings and the day's verse arrives as a quiet reminder. One tap takes you straight to it. ◆ JESUS'S WORDS IN RED Switch on red-letter reading and every verse Jesus speaks renders in red — in any translation, in any language, whether or not you're signed in. ◆ READ IN LANDSCAPE Turn your phone sideways and the whole reader comes with you. Word definitions now open as a centered panel instead of filling the screen, the commentary tabs stay within reach, and verse insights scroll as one smooth page. ◆ FASTER, SMOOTHER, YOURS TO TUNE Swipe to turn the page and chapters flow past. The reading view has been rebuilt on native text rendering — quicker to open and steadier as you scroll — and you can now switch off the dotted lexicon underlines in Settings while keeping every word tappable.
