Difficult
The app was working for a couple of days and I had 8 verses saved on the 9th scripture it wouldn’t let me save it! I tried 3 times and gave up!

This app works! Helped me get thru traumas!
I have had this app for years, and it had helped me when I first started using it to memorize scripture when I had tried unsuccessfully so many other methods recommended by even famous Bible teachers. I not only started remembering scripture, but in a enjoyable way that seemed like a game. So I think this would be great for children. The main point is that later in life when I had to go through several traumas, because I had memorized the scripture. It came to me naturally when my mind could not handle remembering the truth. Thank you Verses developers for this wonderful app!

Love the concept, need to see improvements
This app is essential for helping me memorize verses, and the overall experience is great. However, there are a couple of bugs and usability issues that make continued daily use challenging: if you have the app open too long, you eventually get a warning to pause for a long passage. Once this appears, it pops up multiple times per game. I have been told there is an update coming later this year that will address this, but my hope is that bugs like this could be addressed more quickly.
It’s challenging to manage long passages. This app is great for selective passage memorization, but in my opinion it takes a lot of work once you want to memorize more than 2+ verses (for instance an entire book). You can do it but it creates a lot of work “managing” for the user.

We also appreciate you taking the time to leave a review! My husband and I are currently working on a massive rewrite of Verses that has taken quite some time. We plan on releasing it at the end of this year. We are hopeful it will address a lot of the bugs everyone is experiencing and provide some new exciting features!

This app makes the impossible possible. The games are strategically designed to break things apart into manageable chunks. When I first started trying to memorize scripture without the app I could barely get 11 verses in one summer. Now, I learn five verses per day and it doesn’t feel difficult anymore. 10/10

Not restoring my purchases
I have had this app for years, paying Pro annually while not using it and now starting to use it after serious health treatment, the app will not restore my purchases and there is no way to contact support
Good start
Using verses helps me get started with scripture memorization. Once I can “type it out” I can pretty well speak the verse.
Great app to replace mindless scrolling or mind numbing games
I really enjoy this app especially on the sabbath when I seek to “turn back. . . from doing (my) pleasure on (God’s) holy day” (Isaiah 58:13)!
I would REALLY appreciate if you had to also memorize the verse address alongside the verses themselves. It’s helping me memorize the Word of God but I can’t remember where it is when I try to encourage someone else to go there or want to myself in an actual Bible. Would LOVE if the developers at least added this as an option in the settings maybe? Thanks! Told my whole church about your app!

Very good app for memorising verses
Best scripture memorization app ever!
I've used this app for many years but really got serious about memorizing Scripture last year. The way verses makes you only type the first letter makes repeating verses so easy. I also love the fill in the blank part to help me early to memorize a verse.
I have my streak up to 245 days and now i can't stop! Thank you verses for helping me know the Word so much better and i can recite it when needed

No update for 6 years a subscription app is pathetic
Not even an update to make it iPad friendly. Having to start at level one all the time is terrible as well
Love this app
I learned I could add chapters. At first, I used the reorder feature (the up and down arrows) to mix it up and then let me drag and drop to reorder. It’s fun, calming and meditative. Sometimes a potion of the chapter will stand out and/or I understand it better. For chapters, I start with 2 verses and slowly expand as I learn how to properly order them.
