Decent but needs work
Dealer points you to the new app, and this app is decent and much better than the new one. It’s as though Mercury can’t have one app to manage for the consumer. As many engines this company has out here, it’s frustrating to have an unreliable app to use. 2 apps with no direction as a company. Would be nice to have the features in this app combined into the new app, and make the new one faster. It’s so slow. It’s as though it’s not loading on device and causes the lagging delay instead of loading in the background and just showing the app in a usable state.

Fixing connection problem
I have a iPhone XR and it all of a sudden would not connect at all but with other phones it would not have any problems. I had to install an app called light blue and connect to it through that app and it started to work as normal again 👍. App itself has been great
No trim angle
Really would need this feature more that some others, crazy that you can’t see trim angle

Very useful. Lots of information. Some customisation but nothing complicated. Just a shame you can’t Bluetooth the information to your chart plotter without extra expensive equipment.

Not worth it
For a $400+ module you are not getting much data from the actual engine. You are not getting actual fuel reads, MPH is from your phone, etc. I regret my purchase of the VesselView until these items are addressed.
Touchpad stopped working
After ios 18 update, vesselview opens and communicates with the motor. But touch control of the app doesn't work. If you minimize the app, then re-open it, the touchpad works. After "offloading" followed by reloading, the app works fine.
iOS 11
Well I posted yesterday that the app wasn’t working with iOS 11. New update came out today which fixes the issue. Thanks for fixing it
Needs update for iOS 18
Vessel View is amazing and a must have for Mercury outboard owners. Would be five star but the app does not work with iOS 18

Frozen when opened
App freezes when opening. If I open another application then vessel view works.
App is not syncing with other devices.
Checklists revert back to original when app is closed.
This may be due to release of iOS 18 about a week ago.

App Doesn’t work
App doesn’t work after IOS 18 update
Connection issues
My VesselView app CONSTANTLY disconnects. It is basically unusable. If I do get it connected my phone has to stay put. If I move it, disconnect. If I select any option on the app, disconnect. Update Merc!
Single 2021 engine
Connects, but can’t get any engine data. Tried switching terminators. Not sure what to do.

Using this with a 2022 Mercury 40hp EFI, Can see voltage, temp, rpm, fuel milage and consumption and hours. My motor came with a blue terminator plug and it works fine...though that colour is not listed in the directions.
Could be a lot better
Sort of a corny boring interface. Get rid of the checklists, race track hole shot…. And add more engine data with analog looking gauges. Engine history (max rpm, max temp….) would make this a 5 star app!
Enhancement
Any ways to have dial gauges as an option like on Simrad or other units. I have a tablet so plenty of real estate and easier to read than the numbers
I love the app
I’ve everything that I use the app for there’s one piece of information that is critical for me and I know the unit is capable of it. I would just love to see trim and tilt on the screen.
App is clunky with no help screens and no menu item to log in.
When it works it’s nice to have. But the app is clunky and has no help screens. If you have an issue reconnecting an existing profile best get to googling.
