Don’t fall for the Tik Tok comments

I discovered Vesta from a Tik Tok comment on someone else’s video, thinking it was a good organic recommendation. I got duped. The comment was obviously paid promotion by the app dev. The app was promising at first - the entry questions flow is really engaging - but then they immediately ask you to subscribe for $10 a month. There is a 1-week free trial, sure, but I could immediately tell after poking around the app a bit that the subscription price is STEEP. I’d rather deal with ads on the app than pay $10 a month for something like this. After adding a bunch of clothes to it, I was not impressed with the combinations it put together. It felt like a basic randomizer throwing together anything and everything with no reason. If it’s powered by an AI model, I see no reason why it couldn’t take individual user preferences from the entry questions flow and combine that with information about trends, color matching, or just basic principles of how to dress and create sensible outfits. I also couldn’t figure out a way to easily upload images of my clothes directly from retailer websites. Other apps like this have this as a core feature that makes using them much easier. Overall, not worth it. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet, read app reviews before you download anything, and pay attention to the number of reviews and when the app was released.

The Pro subscription is optional and designed for users with large closets. We’re actively improving outfit ideas and personalization There are some exciting updates coming here soon! Too good to be true

First off, I’m not sure why this app needs my name, phone number, email etc. just to upload my closet, not very privacy friendly. Second, the app doesn’t function very well at all. I was able to upload the first item, but everytime I tried to upload my saint laurent heels, it kept bugging out OR generating a different item that left out the key details of the shoe regardless of the photos used

Edit: ten minutes later, the app is still “loading” the same item after retrying multiple times. Tried to upload a sweater, made an ugly ai generated dress instead. I will also note my device is up to date, and I am not low on storage. Complete waste of time. I have an extensive closet and was excited to use this app

We did have some upload issues earlier that should now be fixed. Many users are able to upload large closets successfully, and our goal is to make that experience reliable for everyone. We use phone number login so you can create an account and easily sign back in across devices (phone, iPad, etc.). Ever since I saw “Clueless” decades ago, I’ve wanted this exact experience to enhance and elevate my life and my style. There isn’t another app like it that not only seamlessly utilizes your entire closet without the need to purchase new things but also gives you so much time back to put into far more important things in life!

A game changer for my closet

I’m constantly in a position where I’m buying new clothes because I feel like I “dont have anything to wear.” Turns out I do, I just need to be more creative with the variations

Paid only options, adds clothes I don’t have, disregards gender

Even if it worked I don’t need a paid app to style the handful of pieces I do own. My wardrobe is minimal, I just moved countries. I wanted to check out whether it could think of any combinations I hadn’t, but after that why would I use it daily? It added clothes to my wardrobe I don’t have, many of which were weird choices or not gender matched (I’m a 6’7 guy so maybe white flare jeans and a black spaghetti strap tank top, neither of which I own, would work for me). it was immediately visible it wasn’t for me.

We’ve since released updates to include more men’s clothing and are actively working on improving the experience for men as well. Appreciate you giving it a try.

Makes you feel like a Barbie doll!

I love this app! It works so well and the creator is very present and helpful. It’s intuitive, beautifully designed, and the ai works pretty much perfectly. My one wish is that it had the ability add more than one top/outerwear for layering. Even without, it’s 100% worth the price.
