About
Vet Controlled Substance Log is a paid, offline record-keeping app that helps small veterinary practices track controlled substances required under DEA recordkeeping rules (21 CFR 1304).
■ Acquisitions, Administrations, and Counts
Record every acquisition (drug, quantity, supplier, invoice number, supplier address, DEA number), every administration (drug, quantity, patient label, owner name, veterinarian initials, waste quantity, witness initials), and periodic inventory counts (initial, biennial, or spot). The app continuously computes theoretical on-hand quantity as acquisitions minus administrations minus waste, and flags any count that does not match.
■ Dashboard and Discrepancy Alerts
The Dashboard shows current stock for every scheduled drug and highlights any discrepancy the moment a count is entered, so you can investigate before a problem grows.
■ Audit-Style Reports
Generate a period PDF formatted like a biennial inventory and dispensing log, with per-drug running balances, for internal review or an inspection. Export every table to CSV, and back up all data to a JSON file you can restore later.
■ What this app does not do
Vet Controlled Substance Log is a recordkeeping tool. It does not verify compliance with DEA regulations, state veterinary board rules, or your practice's own controlled-substance protocol, and it does not replace your DEA registration or biennial inventory obligations. Please confirm requirements with your practice's compliance officer or legal counsel.
■ Payment
This app is a one-time purchase. All features are available immediately after purchase — there are no subscriptions, no ads, and no additional in-app purchases.
■ Offline and Backup
No account is required. All drugs, entries, and settings are stored on your device only and are never sent to any server. From Settings you can export a full backup (CSV, PDF, and JSON) and later restore it in full.
