Hi thank you for the feedback and I apologise for it freezing that shouldn't be happening, however since your review V10 has now been released and this is a HUGE update which should hopefully solve your issues. If it doesn't then if you could raise an issue on the GitHub page with your iPhone model and version of iOS you are running I will try to get to the bottom of it for you. Glad to know V10 is working for you now, and I've designed the app to be as simple as possible whilst remaining powerful and feature complete as I could without hitting licensing concerns for codecs etc so hopefully you will get the hang of it nice and quick.
