The app is STILL FREE, and you can use it all day long (instead of just 3 min/day) ! I moved away from the 3-minute limit because a lot of free users were frustrated by it. The free version now lets you use the app with no time limit but at a reduced max power level. Full access is a paid upgrade (full power, background mode, all patterns, no ads), like any app or service, and it's what keeps a free version available for everyone. The app was free for 6 months and still is for anyone who kept it installed (uninstalling the app removes the legacy free access)! There's now a paid option for those who want unlimited access and honestly, I shouldn't have to explain why. Just like you, I have rent to pay and a family to feed. As a solo dev, I need this to be sustainable. Building and maintaining this app took months of work (20 releases since day one) and that work doesn't stop. Before leaving a one-star review like this, I'd encourage you to consider what actually goes into making an app like this. I'm one person doing this seriously, for you.

Also, the app has never been advertised as having no in-app purchases. The app has never been advertised as 100% free forever with no in-app purchases. I'm a solo developer, not a big company that can run projects at a loss, just like you, I can't work for free! I hope you can understand that without paid options, this app simply wouldn't exist.

There's a small bug affecting some legacy users. If you didn't uninstall the app, just head to the App Store and update to version 1.0.42, that should fix your issue. Can you give it a try and let me know if it works better now? Disappointing
Releasing this completely free and then suddenly making it something you have to pay for is crazy, it could have just been something you had to pay for from the start and I’d never have bothered with it. But I get it, you gotta fish in consumers with the illusion of it being free and then when it starts to get downloads you add restrictions over time. Thats nothing new in this day and age
