Stupidly slow update speed
I can download a 100+GB update in less than an hour and azur lane takes a few seconds to download 375 mb. So i know its not a problem on my end.
Would love to try out the game but i’ll die of old age before it finishes downloading the 375 mb of files that you will be greeted with upon starting for the first time.

Can’t sign in
I actually really like playing this game, but after the recent most update I can’t sign in anymore. My account is linked to an Apple ID, and it gives me a error code every time I try to sign in. Haven’t been able to play in weeks. I don’t know what changed in the latest patch, but it’s completely broken the ways to sign in via Google or Apple ID on IOS. If this gets fixed, I’ll change this review and happily start playing again. Otherwise, it’s a waste of space unless I want to create a new account and start over from scratch…

The great game!
I think this is a great game! I like the characters and personalities in it. But at the same time, I also have a small request, is it possible to update some Austro-Hungarian ships? To be honest, with the performance of the Austrian navy, I am a little shined to say this request. But I just prefer Austria and want to see some its boats. Of course, because I don't know if you will continue to update other countries, I'm just talking about it.thanks!

Too many crashes
I have full 5g WiFi and the game still says that I my connection is bad I won’t be playing this game until the issue is fixed
Can’t play
Upon installation received remote data failure and crashes.
Beware
This is a solid game with the potential to be quite good. It improves on AL in both depth of simulation and maturity of writing and characterization. Be aware, though, that it involves players on Discord LARPing as naval commanders and strategists and that the decisions made on Discord will become canon in *your* supposedly single-player game, no matter how much you disagree with them. Recent events brought about the destruction of an American naval icon due to poor decision making on Discord, and you, despite being an individual playing a SP game, cannot opt out.

Pretty good so far
Tutorial sucked and was too short. The voice acting is fantastic and I love the native languages, the design of the girls is phenomenal. The gameplay is simple but surprisingly deep, but still leaves a lot to be desired.
For the struggles this game went through to get here I’m pretty happy with it, would recommend it!

I find it enjoyable, however
Victory belles is to Me a enjoyable title, with wonderfully designed 'Belles' as the Shipgirls are called in-game and the nationality-based voice acting (when present) is wonderful done (and evidently directed) not to mention that every belle has a short Paragraph summarising the highlights of Her career and even Her ultimate fate,
However I can see the...um 'Gameplay' loop being a solid turn off for a-lot of players as it in effects boils down to 'equip/repair belles, go into battle, tap the connected circle You want Your fleet to go and if they find a enemy fleet You just watch little circles of the Shipgirls of both fleets shoot at each other.' And that's it, it's good if Your doing something else as well but not much else.

Needs info!!!
The basic premise is there. The lack of information is fatal! This game is decent in that department everything else is good. Just the lack of information provided to the player in regards to unit and enemy compositions is atrocious. I’m level 15HQ with level 30Belles and they are dying on a level 10 mission, sometimes they die on a level 5 mission. There is no info on how or what to do to disperse damage. More often then not the enemy just focus fires one belle and it just melts in the first round. Why are you shooting at a destroyer that’s barely detected assuming that’s what the arrows mean. Why not my battleship? It’s got the armor to tank! Why am I fighting enemy carriers when I barely unlocked a single cruiser.
Repairs are expensive and random! To repair 2 hp on one ship costs the same to repair 10k on another. I first though it was based on max HP, but no. Some ships with a high HP total are super cheap to repair!
Artwork and voices are great. Battles are not enjoyable.

Response from developer
Hello Lufialunar, Thank you for giving us a try. We would love to know your fleet setup for the level 10 campaign which your level 30 belles lost. Perhaps it is a bug we can reproduce and fix. Repair time can inflate due to critical damage (not just HP) and your feedback will ensure that we better display this info to players in the future. Anyways, we have lots of improvements planned thanks to feedback from the community and hope that you give us another chance in the future. Regards, Black Chicken Studios
The best ship-girl game
I know, I know. I looks like Kancolle. But under the Kancolle shell is a dedicated team who did not want a cash grab. They wanted a simulator game. Under the portraits and numbers popping is one of the most detailed naval battle sims of any game on the market, comparable to games like Rule The Waves. Under the cover of this book is a compilation of hundreds of thousands of words of story content giving each Belle a unique and often incredibly interesting personality. To bring that personality to life, they’re all voiced in their native languages. None of that silly “USS Iowa speaks the Yankii version of Japanese” stuff. I waited 7 years for this game, and it delivers everything it promised to be. Thanks for not being Star Citizen.

Particular and Engaging
Though it may look like Kancolle and it certainly draws its inspirations from it, unlike the former, this game takes full advantage of a balanced approach towards history. I’ve always taken very serious problems with the revisionism and self pity Kancolle takes with itself in a sort of defense of Japanese actions in the second world war that goes so far as to model the abyssal fleets as representative of the USN and her moves during the war. This game, however, takes a stand in how its factions are conniving and while trying to defend against an extraterrestrial invasion, still self serving. There are Belles with political allegiances that as a modern viewer one would find problematic, but contextually make the world feel truly alive—there is no magical disappearing of less desirable leadership in countries like Germany, morally speaking, you can play the bad guys; however, the devs have given the players the power to shape the world around us, as we play these nations we may see opportunities for a change in leadership as situations either brighten or fall apart!

Pretty fun for a tired out genre
I really enjoyed the game it’s art and it’s unique mechanics it’s pretty fun I will say maybe some ui changes or a help section would be nice because the game can be a little confusing on certain elements I liked it a lot and recommend it it’s a fun little game
Fun game. Good graphics.
Definitely worth downloading.
Excellent take on a CCRPG meets Anime
Victory Belles is very impressive. Clever mechanics and a setting that makes sense for the genre combine to have an intuitive upgrade path compared to other games. The writing and characterization are stylized but the mechanics shine irrespective of player preference.
Beautiful pin up girl game
The artwork is very beautiful, using moe style anime good girl art. The voice acting is cute and very well done. I love the use of different languages.
The game play is simple to understand for a strategy game. Very fun!

There’s actually a game here!
Victory Belles is a different breed of shipgirl game. Think of it as a spin-off but with more varied characters and historically-inspired story telling.
The characters are way more unique in every aspect. I can actually tell them apart whereas shipgirls in other games, are mostly the same. Long hair, bangs, tiny skirts, and other assets (to be polite). It begins to look all the same like you’re collecting clones. That’s fine if you’re into that and want purely assets. But there’s people who want more and VB is shipgirls with substance and assets. Also - and this might scare off some people - it’s one of the few games where I am learning something about naval warfare while having fun.
In terms of gacha, it is probably the least gacha-like in its genre and you have more control of who you want to recruit.
The War is especially fun since they have nation vs nation and alliance vs alliance. Devs have hinted that winning factions influence which characters and campaigns unlock - it’s too early to tell - but I hope this is the case. Go Allies!!

Fantastic Artwork and Art Design
Love the design of the ships and each girl’s costume. Shows a real attention to detail to the different nationalities and their history.
Crappy game
Battle in game is boring and just an icon attacking. Appears the game been worked on since 2013 and it’s feels and appears out dated compared to most games that came out these last 4 to 5 years. Most games on iOS is better then this. What a ship game. I would recommend Azur Lane for a ship game. It’s fun and fair to all. Otherwise if you like a circle that shoots and that’s it then this is the game for you. Want people who have advantage over you from kickstarter if there is pvp. This is the game for you. Want a game for a week. This is a game for you.

A promising start but needs work
I’ve been following this game for several years now, ever since I learned that Kantai Collection had no intention on going global and was saddened to see it stuck in development for so long until I heard it finally released on Reddit.
Now that I’ve been playing it for a few hours, those familiar with Kantai will see this is pretty much Global Kantai so take that for what it is. It had potential, I feel, but just needs some ironing out so I hope it gets the support it needs.
For the good. I like the art style and how it’s designed in a pin-up style while leaving the more titillating designs for the paid skins and enemy designs. I like how all the characters are voiced in either their native tongue or in English with accents from their place of origin. I like that the game has a lot of mechanics under the hood so it isn’t always “give big number”.
For the neutral. While I enjoy the languages, I’d really like subtitles/translations since even though I have a novice understanding of French/German it’d be nice to have their words show up. The tutorial isn’t that great and doesn’t got into enough of how the game works such as combat phases, what appears to be special attacks in combat, doesn’t explain a lot of the mechanics, the stats aren’t really explained all that well, neither is how to get resources or the “war” aspect. The story seems to just be “there” but as a lore nerd I hope there are plans to go into the world, belles, and enemies. The art work does need tweaking because while some are great, like Scharnhorst, others… not so much such as pretty much all the npcs.
The bad. Gameplay is pretty set and forget. You don’t really do anything in battle as it’s all done automatically while shipgirls fire at one another. Wouldn’t be to bad but these fights can take some time, not a lot of what happens is explained such as the damage effects outside of some of the very easy to understand ones like fire or flood, and there’s a lot of wasted time since in a map you select an end point, hit end turn, get into a fight, then have to tap to finish the fight, then tap end turn to keep moving when it should be smoother such as tap the location, end turn, and then you move and fight without interruption unless something bad happens like heavy damage.

Welcome to Victory Belles
After nine years in development, hopefully it was worth the wait
