Finally! Since the latest update (v2.4.2) that just came out, compressed video at the same 2.4 Mbps is good enough quality for small text to be readable again. It does take longer to encode - maybe just make that clear in the selectable options (“faster speed” and “better quality”, rather than “standard” and “efficient” which aren’t very clear in meaning).

Crashes
When the app works it works alright but fails more often than it works. It pops up a message saying it’s failed. No explanation why. Force close and restarting doesn’t work, only works when it decides too

Dead App. Doesn’t work.
I used to use this all the time. Then one day it stopped working. Changed phone stopped working. Downloaded. Delisted. Tried everything different Apple devices. It’s no longer works.
Unusable with ads
Compress button is blocked by ads. No way to close or move them. Used to work great, now unusable.

Of several different video compression apps I’ve used, this stands out as the best! For example, the first video I wanted to impress to email was approximately 170 MB, I use this app, and I got it to just below 25 MB and emailed it to myself as a test, and there was no loss in video Quality! I highly recommend

Download the app, but the button necessary to compress the file is covered by Add Links. I clicked the ad link to see if I could then compress the file, but was directed to download another app for pornography.

I tried this app today to shrink a jpg, not the write app of course, but already charged. I was not aware or could not remember sighing up to be charged when app was used. Thought it would have been a one time payment which I usually go for. Hard to track with not enough info on PayPal transaction, just a simple mention of Video Compress would have done it. Can’t find where to remove auto payments on App either. Cancelled App now. Be aware.
