Nothing has stolen my damn time more than the free version of this app I am immensely disappointed and unhappy!
I love compressing
I do screen recording and little videos and things that I love to post and this app helps me to compress so I can share them. It’s great.
It works well - but offline bug
I tested the free version and liked it a lot (Apple compulsively saves video in 4K, but to send as sms or instagram? Don’t need 4K ) so I purchased the paid version.
It works very well!
However … the app seems to validate your free/app status every time (you open it or un-dormant it) and if you are offline (in flight etc) you get this “…. Hey, buy the paid adfree version!…” box.
Sometimes it goes away after few seconds, sometimes it doesn’t. So if you use the paid version, you don’t get a better new pro- app, they simply check online what status you have and modify the UI. Clearly works for them but not really good for customers.
Otherwise works as advertised .

Refuses to even acknowledge u selected photo
Sometimes it can refuse to pick any photo u have in ur album meaning no acknowledgement that u chose a photo. Also this used to be a buy app now it’s not not even a second app for subscribers
