Love the app, but I personally feel like the UI is getting to cluttered and trying to do too much. Please just keep it simple.
HEVCut does have an edge with features, but it’s the support from the Developer, which I believe is very important. Discover a bug or have a suggestion and Alejandro is on it quickly with an update. I couldn’t be more happy about HEVCut and the Gb’s of saved space I now have. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay

It compresses videos well but the app can cause your phone to lag and it doesn’t always show the correct stuff in your library

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Compressing videos and photos quickly while maintaining high quality is a very resource-intensive task, so it’s normal for your phone to heat up or slow down while the compression is running. This is unavoidable when everything is processed directly on your device. The upside is that your photos and videos never leave your phone. Some other apps upload your media to their servers to perform the compression, but we chose to keep everything local so your files stay private.

Actually working

I sort of thought this would be scammy for some reason, but it’s working well for me. I am a musician and film a lot of my performances, which ate up my 2TB iCloud rapidly. I don’t want to lose these, but I probably don’t need my first show from a decade ago in 4k60hz taking up 60gb on my storage. This tool seems to be preserving everything I want while saving lots of space for more performance footage. I like sorting by size a lot.

Thank you for the update, with new features and quality compression for both video and photo images. The compressed files look amazing, and the UI is beautiful. HEVCut does have an edge with features, but it’s the support from the Developer, which I believe is very important. Discover a bug or have a suggestion and Alejandro is on it quickly with an update. I couldn’t be more happy about HEVCut and the Gb’s of saved space I now have. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I did repurchased the lifetime license, because the price point is a better balance between customer value and features with similar apps. Can’t get it to work

Signed up for a free trial but can’t get passed the registration screen, still thinks I don’t have a subscription, won’t load the full version.

The new changes further cement this as the best app for HEVC video compression on iOS and Mac for your iCloud photo and video library. I sent an email requesting a bunch of new features a few months back and they incorporated every single one of the features into this latest update. You have full control to see before/after compression, ability to keep original FPS, and quality, and ability to sort videos by size and other useful filters to explore your video library. It used to not be able to run through the entire iCloud photo library but that is not an issue anymore and the bug has been fixed. Feels like Apple made it now and is well worth the price. Thanks for making an awesome app.

Could be great, not quite there yet.

Has potential, and is the only tool of its kind I could find, but it has some issues. No progress bar, no scroll bars (Mac), no way to know what you are deleting after compression, iPad first interface. I have over 7,000 videos, and they appear in a very long list. Currently I think 60 videos have converted, but I only know that because it’s offering to delete 60 videos. I have hit delete, but it seems to be doing nothing. I have also hit Stop, but there is no indication as to whether it has. Activity monitor says it has, so I guess it has, but it’s all a bit unclear. I had success with the ‘free trial’ compressing 2 or 3 videos, and it did a good job, but only now after paying 20 odd quid and getting into the weeds do these issues become clear.

Saves Space, but….

I really like the UI, although it could be simplified and less distracting in some areas. The developer responds to questions and suggestions very quickly. After using the app for a few days, I just find it needing more polish and an update for some annoying bugs for me to find value in it at $40.

Saves Space!

I really like the UI, although it could be simplified and less distracting in some areas. The developer responds to questions and suggestions very quickly. Without a doubt, HEVcut is the BEST video compressing app I have found in the Apple App Store. It does cost a bit more than other compression apps, however this is the ONLY app that I have found that when the video is compressed it looks as good as the original with a substantial savings of file size. Plus it’s cross compatible with Mac, iPad and iPhone. Worth every dollar spend on this app. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
