Nice if it worked

The app has a lovely UI and it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into it.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work. Every video I’ve tried says “Compression Failed”, no matter which quality setting I use.
“Try with 480P (more reliable)” also does not work, sadly.
It also regularly shows a pop-up warning about videos being in iCloud when they were recorded in the Camera app, so are definitely on-device.

I’d love to try this app again if you can get it working, because it looks really nice otherwise!

Great video compression application

I’ve been using ShrinkIt on my iPhone for a few days and overall I’m very happy with it. As someone who records a lot of video (family moments, travel clips, etc.), storage space gets eaten up fast — ShrinkIt does a great job helping me manage that without constant worry.

Very user‑friendly interface — it’s obvious what to do. select the video, pick a compression level, and go. No confusing jargon.
The previews are really helpful — I can see how much size I’ll save, and how much video quality I’ll lose, before committing.
Speed is decent — especially on more recent iPhones. Compression doesn’t feel sluggish unless it’s a long video or very high resolution.
Handles multiple videos fine. I was able to compress several clips in one go, which saved me a lot of time.
