How do you use this thing?

I loaded a video that I wanted to trim some unwanted frames from at the end. The app kept playing the video over and over. I could not find any way to select the section I wanted to delete nor could I find any instructions on how to do that. The ability to get help in it may have well been provided but a means of getting to it was not. Very frustrating.
