Great for playing video, fails at other things
This app is EXCELLENT for playing videos, especially if you want to zoom into some corner of the video, or analyze what's happening there on a frame by frame basis. There are very few apps that do this well, which is why I'm giving this 3 stars.
But it falls at extracting frames. There's a camera icon, which I assume is to take a snapshot of a frame. But where does that frame go? Not to the photos app. I even paid extra for extracting frames to work, but still the same results - no extracted frames that I could find anywhere!
And the support button in the app store leads to a random artsy website, with no mechanism I can find to even report a problem.
Also, GIFs are poorly supported. The information in the GIFs about how long each frame is supposed to be displayed is ignored, I think in favor of playing every GIF at 20 something frames per second, as if it was a video.
This app could be a great one if these problems were fixed.

The best frame by frame Video app Ive used; simple
Ive tried just about every single app similar to to this and this is the most basic easiest to use , im not sure how to use the gif making part, but as for slowing and coping each frame you need its the best , some reviews about it being a scam are ridiculous , but more time could be spent improving this app by giving a few tutorials and suggestions of projects it could be used for would open up a river of much deserved 5 star reviews , thanks for the hatd work so far

NOT FREE TO TRY AFTER 2 MINUTES
all i tried to do was test frame advance then after two minutes it LOCKED and forced me to pay or use nothing. So i choose nothing. all you ever have to do to extract a photo from a video is pause the video where you want a picture and do a 'screenshot'. boom, there's your photo and you can crop & scale in photos. Why would anyone PAY for something that is built-in to every phone and free to use? like, don't be stupid.

Not working with iPhone 16
Canât open any videos in the âAll Videosâ (I see them, select them, but canât play). The videos from âFiles Appâ are working fine. iPhone 16, iOS 18.2.1, FramePlayer version 4.10.1 (all softwares are up to date).

Draw Function
I would love to purchase the 'Draw Function', but the Edit Bar is in the way. Would it possible to move it outside the video ( besides the other controls)? Excellent App, I use it almost everyday.

Great! Thanks for 5-star rating. hope it can help you dance better and better! As of Draw function, you can drag the Edit Bar onto anywhere else of the screen when you think it is in the way.

Great idea, but has issues
First, it incorrectly displays the framerate for slomo videos. It says they are 30 fps and calculates time as if it were 30.
Second, it wonât play videos taken on another apple device. Example: videos taken on my iPhone show up in the file listing, but play as a black screen on my iPad and vice versa. The app only works with videos recorded on the same device as it is installed on. Maybe be a local storage vs iCloud issue.
Third, please just list a price for full functionality. This a la carte approach is really annoying.

Works fine but frame rate in the playback bar is tricky
To use all functions itâs a bit expensive but works fine.
Biggest problem is that the time displayed in the bar shows frames from 0 to 96 even if file is at 25 fps (if you stop the playback at 0:01.01f the system displays 0:01.04 - or if you stop at 0:0:24f the system displays 0:0.96)
Couldnât find any contact to ask support.
It would be very helpful to have different option in viewing the frame rate.

Donât buy
This is a really painful app. It promises so much but every single feature has to be paid for one after another. This is not clear when you first download this so it ends up being very expensive. There will be better options that do not try and milk money out of you all the time

Thanks for the comment. You only need to pay for what you need. Itâs by design because many people donât really need all features. They just want the basic feature and donât want to pay for unnecessary features.

Purchased the app yet still canât use its features.
Sometimes it wants to work and sometimes it doesnât. I bought it and have clicked restore numerous times and still doesnât allow me to use the features. Have deleted it and redownloaded it and that doesnât fix the issue. Pass on this.

Canât even purchase. I loaded this app on a iPhone 13 and when the notice comes up to contact for price. the box just flashes and wonât let me select. Removed and tried it again - same thing. You should just charge for the app outright instead of the pop up box. I am a skating teacher and this app would have been perfect for me. Sorry you lost a sale.

Itâs actually 9 bucks donât bother
Way overpriced for something you can do for free on a laptop :/ would be cool if it didnât interrupt me every 2 seconds begging me to pay $9. Very dishonest and annoying way of asking for payment.
