🔄 Please bring back the Enhanced Player as an option
Please bring back the Enhanced Player as an optional feature. I understand it was disabled because it didn’t work properly with YouTube, but on other websites it was very useful when a video was detected. It would be great if the developers could revert this change and allow users to enable it optionally like before. 🙏

Non functioning
This app is arguably worse than base YouTube, the feature where you can listen with the screen off does not work, listening while not ON the app does not work, there is no way to change my settings. or remove community posts, there is no way in the settings to remove YouTube shorts, the comment section does not function properly.
If it was not for the fact that YouTube forces DOZEN of ads this app is worse and blatantly nonfunction in every single way.

App buggy. Google trying to block it, works
While this app has player and various issues, it largely does the job. Not sure how good it is with privacy alas.
Update buggy and ads frustrating, yet not as bad as googled right now. Captions don’t work in full screen. Not perfect, yet good to be semi de-googled. Not sure what tracking and fingerprinting still goes on as history easily comes back after a wipe cache or whatever. So maybe not as privacy based as hoped.
UPDATED. While the powers that be try to block this, it DOES work with their ‘enhanced’ player, you have to wait for something to ‘time out’ and say it won’t play and it starts playing, every time.

Worse than original YouTube
The app is just collecting so much data and selling to every platform possible, you just have to look through the cookie acceptance process. At this point it’s just worse than using regular YouTube.
