Makes it easy all on an iPad

I have a sports camera and have been looking for software to easily do what this does without a huge budget.
This allows me to get the video onto the iPad from the camera, scrub through it, play, pause, mark and then go on, easily removing the marks as the athletes move. Then I share it back to my photos and can upload it to YouTube where the kids watch the game.
It’s more portable than software that needs you to be online to use it and it was MUCH faster to learn.
It seems that there have been. It’s but I’ve seen comments where they got worked out.

Coaches Dream

This is a Coach Dream, me being able to hook up the iPad to a TV is a game changer. Slow-mo or fast-forward and the ability to write and talk text is awesome while showing film. Thank you. I can't wait for more and better updates

App Keeps Crashing

Completely Changed My Coaching

I have been coaching youth soccer for 15+ years and have found that video is one of the best tools in my coaching toolkit. I have used a few different apps on my iPad, but Video Pencil is that app that I have needed to teach most effectively. I use Video Pencil connected via HDMI to a TV in the classroom for live game film review and I use the recording feature to create clips for the team or specific players. Players love getting this type of teaching and feedback and the parents always give lots of compliments. I could not do what I do without Video Pencil.

Crashes

Paid 42$ for an app that continuously crashes. This is terrible.

When it works it’s great

When the app works i love it, but every other recording I do ends in a recording failed. I can be 15 minutes into a recording then it goes out. Very frustrating and there is no explanation to help solve it

I'm not really sure what you're saying - you're using resource as a noun and then a verb, and neither time does it make sense. If you have questions, I'm highly available and easy to email.

Good app, just crashes

I have to redownload the app constantly to get it to work. On iPad Air 4th Gen.

Great app for coaching sports

This app is perfect for reviewing video footage for team sports. The most recent update and added features, making it even better. If you are a coach and review video footage or game footage with your team, this app is a must have.

Transparency Over NDI Crashes App

Currently in my testing if I enable transparency only over NDI the app crashes and cannot reopen. To get it back to working order I need to uninstall and reinstall the app on my iPad. Everything else seems to work fine, however the primary reason I wanted to use this application was because of its ability to send the drawings only, over an alpha channel via NDI. Since that functionality is not able to work I personally do not have a use for this app.

In Application Amazing Getting It To Work Not So Much

The app when you get it to work is a pretty amazing tool. However you will often have a hard time getting the computer and ipad to work together in order to use this app.

I have done a lot of work to provide solutions to connect to a Mac (Video Pencil Camera, CueCam Presenter) and integrate with standards used by different streaming software like OBS, Ecamm Live and mimoLive. I'm sorry that you have found it difficult to set up, but I assure you that there is no easier way to achieve the results that Video Pencil can achieve. If you have unusual conditions, you can always reach out to me through the website and I will personally help.

Pretty Good, but limited and expensive

A good app that allows you to import a video from Photos or Files and then draw on it. However the video progress bar up top is not good for longer videos and you can only jump back by 5 seconds. If the way you scan though a video can be fixed (like a wheel with a speed setting like other telestrator apps) then it would be 5 stars, however $40 is still rather expensive for the basic functionality it has. Overall would recommend

Have Telestrator, Will Travel

I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had with this app and using it to diagram out sports plays, put online courses together with a more “human” touch, and go all-out telestrator mode live via Ecamm. This app is one of the best values out there and the customer service and response time is fantastic. Highly recommend for all educators and sports fans.

App is serviceable w/ ridiculous premium price

The app works as intended until you want to start working on a different video then you need to delete all the data and select the new video you want. I’m sure this is a fixable bug and isn’t very annoying once you know you need to do it.

I would love to remove the watermark and gain access to “premium features” however the $45 price tag is waaaay too steep. If it were say $4 I would happily spend that money to get a more clean version of the app. Sadly at that price I will not be buying.

The app does do what I need it to do which is great! Two easy changes and it will be perfect

Imbed titles in video

I would like to imbed titles into a video that I have just narrated over, is there a way to save and render the text into a single complete video, the app is amazing, thanks for creating it, please let us save and render later.

Good to go

Initially wrote a bad review. It was me not the app. Once user guide comes on line others won’t have the issue I had. Went to a YouTube video for a tutorial and that helped
