Been looking for a proper bit rate compressor. This app is great. No fuss.

I have used this for years with no problems. Now after new iPhone 8+ and iPad mini 5 upgrade it freezes saying no access to photo library — check settings . It does not appear in settings so can’t give access. Please fix.

Desperately needs an update!
I’ve used this app for years and it’s been great when it worked! It filled a big gap in the iOS ecosystem, which was a proper video compressor/re-encoder app.
However, these days, it’s completely broken on newer devices & OS versions. It’s an absolute shame, considering there’s STILL not much available that had this level of control. It’s been 4 years since the last update, unfortunately, so I’m not very hopeful...

Thanks for the kind words. I went off the radar for a while but I've just released 2.9.1 and will try keep things updated a bit more regularly from now on!
Useless
This app does not work. After compressing the video it never gets sent to the appropriate library. There is no way to send the videos after compressing them, which is after all the entire reason for compressing them. I gave one star because zero wasn't an option!

Hi there. Please reach out to me via the in-app support if you're still having issues. Videos should save back to your photo library and from there you can share them using the Photos app. To date, I've kept Video Squishy focused on the squishing bit more than other functionality such as sharing... I'll consider adding it in the future. Thanks.

If you want to manipulate video, this app is a must. Native resolutions are fine but bit rates are not. It is absolutely necessary to use this app first, if you want smooth reverse or frame by frame playback with some of the more high-powered video players in the App Store. Just use the default parameters with 720x480 it's perfect! High definition video works great as well. Thanks Devs!

Works well, clear UI
I used it to crudely upscale a video to preserve a weird res that got encoded horridly to 240P by youtube. Used this app to upscale to an HD res and all is well!
I like it a lot
It does what it says without issues, don't know what some of the other reviewers are on about. No other app does queueing at the moment and options are very good. Only thing I found a bit of a pain is not having an easy way getting rid of original videos, took me a while to figure out which is which to delete the right ones.

Great app to save memory
I've been using the app for a while now and can't figure out why I got such a poor review by the previous person. The app works well and has Compress videos as expected. One feature I would like to see his ability to delete the large videos from my iphone. I also got the app for my kids so that they cannot reduce the size of their videos.

Super-useful, fast and easy way to compress videos prior to uploading to dropbox.

Total waste of money. Actually doubled the size of my videos!

A squished video took just as long as an unsquished video to be sent via text
Bad Update
After updating, the App won't read my library and just crashes. Don't update!!!

Does what it says on the tin
Excellent... Squished a 3min iPad-shot 1080p video from 350Mb down to 720p / 45Mb file size in less than 30 seconds. Straightforward, uncomplicated, no unnecessary settings & options. Perfect for reducing upload times / data use.
Great way to save space and keep quality
But it really needs the ability to delete full size videos after they have been squished.

Very useful. The compressed video didn't lose any quality! If I were to use this app for every video in my folder, my phone would probably have an extra 1.5 GB.
