Wanted to check RPM. I knew what it should be. 1125. I set this app to 1130 and my mark almost stopped, 1140 it spun backwards slowly. Just right. Very cool.

Thanks for your feedback! In the full version, you can select the frame rate for 1125 RPM. In the free version, the frame rate selection accuracy is ±10 RPM (or ±0.1 Hz), in the paid version, the frame rate selection accuracy is ±1 RPM (or ±0.01 Hz).

The app is very good, it takes a few tries to get the right settings to understand the different options and how they can be used, nothing impossible to do, if you try the app different settings you will find them very useful, after a few tries you will find the settings that are the best for you to use and understand. Excellent app just practice to master the settings.

Super Useful

I don't own a lot of tools (being a college student), so when I wanted to measure the RPM of my Lego motor to determine its torque, I was stuck. Looking on the AppStore was a last, desperate measure, but man, I'm glad I did. The free version of the app work beautifully and offers great control and features. And, the +-10RPM is not a huge deal. Overall, would absolutely recommend. Many thanks to the developer for providing this tool for free!

Отличное приложение. Сегодня собирал стенд, в котором использовался частотник. С помощью приложения получилось выставить нужные мне обороты электродвигателя. Так же проверил правильно ли я рассчитал шкивы. Однозначно рекомендую всем кто занимается ремонтом и диагностикой различных механизмов. Мощный карманный инструмент.

Very little usefulness in the free version

Far too much is only in the paid version. Uninstalled within five minutes of installing.

Clever and useful

I found this app to be incredibly useful. I didn’t trust the tachometer on my boat, and this app worked like a charm in confirming it. It’s beautifully done.

I didn’t quite understand why I needed the 2X and divided by two buttons, but it becomes clear after you’ve used it for a bit, and that you need to find the maximum RPM value that works otherwise you might be looking at halftime or quarter time or eighth time Etc., but two dollars it’s a steal.

Clever Developers should be rewarded. Well done!

Very handy!

I have been using a Miniature Aircraft Xcell tachometer for years. This allows me to use my phone (and this app!) so I have a optical tach wherever I go now. Thanks to the dev!
The accuracy is spot on. Recommended.

Great!

Excellent little app. Open and it works perfectly. I’m building a DC motor with grandkids for their science fair project. I wanted to show them how RPM changes with voltage input. I upgraded to the full version, not because I need that precision and may never use it again, but it was only about 10% the cost of the cheapest stand alone tach. Thanks to the developer for making this so accessible. 👍

WHAT A JOKE!!

It didn’t read anything and every button you tap a pop up jumps in and says you need to pay for an upgrade to get that function. Dude, here’s some advice, if you’re only building an app to gather/sell info on your users at least build an app that actually functions because you’ll never get enough users to make you rich selling their personal info with this bogus app 🤦‍♂️

IT'S ALL A LIE!!! To determine the rotation speed, you do not need to purchase the full version of the app. In the free version of the app, you can select the frame rate with an accuracy of ±0.1 Hz or ±10 RPM. Quote from another review: "Manual controls over everything: exposure time, light sensitivity (ISO), focus (auto or manual), RPM… and that's in the free version!" I do not collect user data! iOS has a great feature called "App Privacy Report". There you can view the network activity of apps. Everyone can make sure that this app only communicates with either Apple domains when purchasing the full version of the app, or YouTube domains when connecting to YouTube to watch videos. The app connects to YouTube only if the user touches the "Connect to YouTube" button. That is, when taking measurements using this app, the app will not connect to the Internet at all!

Just what I needed

I needed to reverse engineer a machine and although I knew the motor model, I didn’t know what gearbox was fitted, so I had to find a way to measure the actual shaft RPM. This App was ideal.

I like this better than all the other apps for measuring turntable RPM (using a strobe disc on the turntable)

No Video Recording

The app works but without the ability to capture video it’s not very useful. Sure, the developer says to use the iPhones build-in in screen capture but then the interface is in the video. This would be a 5 star app if it had the ability to capture video. Until that happens I can only give it 1 star.

I’m a farmer that irrigates with natural gas engines, some with, some without tachs. It’s great to pull up to a motor and see what rpm the drivelines are spinning or the gearhead. Most of the time my phone is in my pocket. Can’t say that about the older expensive tachs I was carrying.
