What's New in VideoBro

1.0.8

October 13, 2026

A brand-new VideoBro. Home has three buttons: NEW TAPE, GROUP TAPE, and MY TAPES for everything you're filming or have developed. A camcorder built in Tap REC to film right in VideoBro. Hold your phone upright and it still records horizontal video, and every take is saved to your camera roll too. AUTO and + ADD The old REC switch is now AUTO: turn it on and landscape videos you film with the Camera app join the tape. + ADD still brings in videos already on your phone. Vintage camera looks Tap the tape face in the corner of the picture to scroll through vintage camera looks, from silent film reels to pocket camcorders, live in the viewfinder. Each finished film keeps its own look. Share or download Send a private link, or download the whole film or just a moment of it to your camera roll, with its look. A new Tape Cabinet Films sit in VHS sleeves, shelves fold into a stack of spines, and each card shows who's on the film. Easier invites Collab opens a list of people to tick. Friends already on VideoBro get a notification in the app, and anyone else gets one link that also gets them the app. Also in this update: VideoBro opens straight into the tape you're working on, the clip list opens up like a cassette as clips arrive, first-timers get a short tour, and you can now cancel saving a film to your camera roll.

Good time for good memories!

This has been such a special app for collecting memories and moments! Super fun to collaborate with your friends

Huge fan

I love this app, it’s my favorite place to collab with my friends on a vacation. Or hanging on a Saturday night.

Make memories you can’t forget!

So fun!

Easy to use, nostalgic, and it just makes memories feel more special. I always forget to record and end up with no evidence of the night, but this app encouraged me to document more. And I love the aesthetic!

Brilliant!

Love this app! Gave our crew a fun way to capture an adventure. Really challenged my 90’s dad with a camcorder vibes

Peak Nostalgia / Making Memories

I’m obsessed with this app. It’s so intuitive and fun. I love how it leans into the nostalgia of VHS tapes — exclusively focusing on horizontal videos. Epic. The collaboration function is clutch. Being able to have multiple friends contribute to one shared memory is so special. Highly recommend!!

FAQ

What is VideoBro?

VideoBro is a platform that lets you and your friends film into a shared tape, which is then developed into a single finished home movie. It focuses on collaborative filming and easy creation of a unified film.

How many people can film into a VideoBro tape?

Up to 8 people, including you, can film into a single tape. Invited friends can contribute footage without needing to create an account.

Can I add existing footage to a VideoBro tape?

Yes, the 'Add Clips' feature allows you to pull horizontal videos from your camera roll. These clips will be placed on the tape according to their original recording time.

How is a VideoBro film created?

Once filming is complete, someone taps 'Develop'. This process takes all the clips, applies any trims, and creates one widescreen film in the cloud. Everyone on the tape is notified when it's ready.

What are the editing capabilities in VideoBro?

The editing is intentionally simple, focusing on the essence of a home movie. You can swipe to delete a clip or press and hold to trim it. There are no filters, titles, music, or reordering options.

How much does VideoBro cost?

VideoBro is free to start, offering 2 GB of space for tapes and films, which is approximately one hour of footage. Developing films is included in the free tier.

What does a paid plan change in VideoBro?

A paid plan primarily increases the storage space available for your tapes and films. The crew size of 8 people and the 2-hour limit per tape remain the same across all plans.

How can I share a finished VideoBro film?

Each finished film gets an unlisted link. Anyone you send this link to can watch the film in their web browser on any device, without needing the app or an account.
