VideoCueBox turns your iPhone, iPad or Mac into a video cue player for live use — worship, theatre, school events, conferences and weddings.
Load clips and stills into cue slots, line up the next one in Preview while the current one plays in Program, and send the Program feed full-screen to a projector or TV.
PREVIEW AND PROGRAM
Two monitors sit above the grid. Preview is where you cue the next clip and set it up; Program is what the audience sees. Nothing reaches the audience until you send it.
CUE SLOTS AND PAGES
Eight cue slots per page to start, up to 32 with Pro. Build a page per act, per song or per speaker, name them, and switch between them from the chip bar without leaving the show.
EXTERNAL DISPLAY
Program Output goes full-screen to a wired external monitor through an HDMI adapter, or to an AirPlay destination once you start Screen Mirroring from Control Centre. The grid stays on the device so the audience never sees your controls. Available on every tier.
Choose the canvas the show is composed in: match the display, pick 4K UHD, 1440p, 1080p, 720p, XGA or SVGA, or type an exact pixel size of your own. The canvas keeps its aspect ratio and is centred on black, and the Live monitor on the device shows the same framing, so what you see is what the projector gets.
REMOTE LINK
Run the show from another device. One iPhone, iPad or Mac plays; a second one, anywhere with an internet connection, shows its cue slots and takes them live, previews, stops and edits them. On the device that plays, turn on "Allow remote control" in Settings › Remote Link, then paste its link or code on the device in your hand. Picture and sound play on the playing device; you can also send the program picture to the device in your hand and play the sound on it, kept in sync automatically.
IMPORTANT: Remote Link only works when both devices have the latest version of VideoCueBox installed.
TRANSITIONS
Cut, Fade, Zoom In, Zoom Out and Swipe between cues, with adjustable duration.
PER-CLIP CONTROL
Trim the in and out points, set volume and playback speed (0 to 5×), loop, fade in and fade out, rotate, scale, crop and add slow motion drift — per cue, saved with the cue. With Pro, give each cue its own keyboard key.
STILLS
Photos work as cues too. A still stays on screen until you stop it, so it doubles as a holding slide or a lower third. Animated GIFs play animated.
SUPPORTED FORMATS
Video containers: MP4, MOV and M4V.
Video codecs: H.264, HEVC (H.265), Apple ProRes, MPEG-4 Part 2 and Motion JPEG.
Audio in those files: AAC, MP3, ALAC, PCM and AC-3 / E-AC-3.
Stills: JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, GIF, TIFF, BMP, WebP and RAW/DNG.
MKV, WebM, AVI, WMV and FLV cannot be opened on iOS; they are refused on import with a clear message. Convert them to MP4 first. The full list is always in Settings › Supported Formats.
IMPORTING
Bring clips in from your Photo Library or from Files, including iCloud Drive and any other file provider.
BUILT FOR A SHOW
The screen never dims or locks while VideoCueBox is in front. Light and dark appearance. 34 languages.
FREE AND PRO
The free version gives you 4 cue slots on one page in the simple BASIC view, with a banner ad at the bottom on iPhone and iPad. The Mac version carries no ads at all. VideoCueBox Pro unlocks up to 32 cue slots per page, unlimited pages, the full PRO view with Picture in Picture, TAKE and Stop All, keyboard shortcuts and Remote Link, and removes all ads. Without Pro, Remote Link can be tried free for 15 minutes on each device, counted from its first connection.
VideoCueBox Pro is a yearly auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings.
