Loss of functionality
Media libraries stopped working in the the app after the latest update to the main app that runs on your pc. Auto play also stopped working.
Please update!!!
Great when it works. Please send an update through. Consistently crashes for no reason.
Why so much storage space??
While I love the app and capabilities why is it taking up 13gb on my phone???? I will just stream from the computer if that is the case.
Great free product
Love the app. Works great most of the time. Biggest issue I note is that after using it to for a week or so the app size becomes huge. Almost as if it is storing the streamed media on the phone (it’s over 2-3 gigs) and when I delete and reinstall and shrinks back down to a normal size for awhile. Not sure how to fix that because it is slightly frustrating. Otherwise it works great. Videos stream well. Keep up the good work!

Worked well, now not at all
This app was a godsend, but recently it stopped syncing with the library properly, so I uninstalled/reinstalled but now I can’t even get past “finding videostream” so I guess this app bricked itself...

The app works as intended. Very convenient as my computer is on a different floor from my most watched TV.

Great app to stream CIFS over chrome cast!
Works flawlessly for me on win10 to my chrome cast hooked up to a receiver.
Finally my phones a remote for my pc
No more running to my laptop to choose a movie or show. Very simple and small app makes illicit 😅😅 videostreaming a snap! Thanks guys! Now I just need a mobile torrent app. Oh FYI my only criticism would be to add a little thumbnail of the video when you’re scrubbing to find a certain scene.
Was so hyped for this app to work
Installed the app on my computer. Was streaming to my downstairs TV so REALLY was hoping they had a app to pause and such. Boom they do! Installed it, easy, loaded my library easy. Click play and it says it starting then gives me a error. I don’t know why because I can play the videos from my pc to my chrome cast device with zero issues. Just this app doesn’t want to work. Hope they fix it.
Also this app should detect when something is already streaming and just profile the play controls.

Poorly designed and ineptly developed.
This app works in conjunction with a streaming application on your local network. The control options from the mobile app are abysmal and hang when you try to type search criteria. The developers charge you to create playlists and auto playing of consecutive files neither of which work well. The playlists are not even accessible from your mobile device. Add a total lack of support to the equation and you’ve got “VideoSqirm” the app!!!

Can’t Get Casting to Work on iPhone app.
Never used to have a problem with this app. My library shows up fine, app connects to chrome cast, says its starting playback and never does. Have no idea what the issue is, but it’s incredibly frustrating that I can’t get the app to work. Casting from the desktop browser app seems to work just fine.

This app is amazing. Never have issues. My one question is why it takes up over a gig of storage space?...

It's a let down unless they fix the sync bug with chromecast I'm 100% positive it's not my network causing the issue it's something on they're end and I'm not sure if they are gonna try to figure it out or not.

Seriously, every time the app recommends that I try and connect to the chrome cast manually it's like the app is asking me to delete it.
This is app is great when it can communicate properly with the chromecast. It organizes all your stored shows and movies from your pc so you can find what you are looking for and then sometimes plays them on your tv too.
I wish there was a re-connect button to make it try and re-sync with the chromecast. I've never had any issues with it not staying synced with the pc on the network.

Great. Subtitle selection is erroneous
Great. Subtitle selection is erroneous. It doesn't detect that an external subtitle file has been loaded on the computer side. Hence we can't switch subtitles off from within this app.
Works so well even my wife can use it
And she is scared of calculators.
Ignore the older, negative reviews of this app- it works perfectly now once you get the chrome plugin installed and working. I had to run the firewall fix, which also worked instantly with no input from me.

Works great! After fixing firewall, app can find Videostream
Initially, the app was unable to find Videostream on my computer through the wifi network. Turns out the problem was with my firewall, and I had to use their network repair tool (if you click the "help" button on the chrome extension, then select "mobile app can't find Videostream"). I had to close Google Chrome, end all chrome tasks in Task Manager, and exit my firewall for the network repair tool to work. I was also using a VPN and Peer Block at the time, and after exiting those programs too, the app finally worked. After the app paired with my computer, I just reopened the firewall, VPN, and Peer Block with no app issues.
As for improvements, I wish the app also had the ability to offset the subtitles like the computer can, as this would be much more convenient to do instead of getting up from the couch and heading to the computer every time the subtitles are off.
Overall, the app is working great and the performance is amazing!! I wish I knew about this app sooner!
