I’ve had the VidiU X for some time. I have yet to figure out how to get it to connect to a cellular device.

Installed this app on my iPhone and iPad but it crashes as soon you launch it - on both devices. I’m on iOS 12.5.

Great app with some improvements needed
This app does the job very well. The ratings here seem to be quite old that perhaps reflect issues with prior versions of the app. I have used this app a lot over the last two months to livestream in combination with a Vidiu device from Teradek and have had zero issues. Maintains a strong reliable connection for hours of livestreaming with no interruptions. The only improvement that would add significant value would be to be able to view the preview video in full-screen/landscape mode. Else it is tiny and can barely satisfy the requirements of monitoring the output of the Vidiu device. Also, the app should continue to do it’s job in the background when one navigates away from it.. it drops the link to the Vidiu device if you try and use another app.

iPad app doesn’t rotate?
Installed the app on my iPad Pro. Wanting to use the app in landscape orientation, but the app doesn’t rotate? This needs to be fixed.
Crashing
Something has happened, and even after rebooting my phone, I still can’t get the app to open without crashing. Based on the reviews here... I am not alone.

Crash and burn
This App used to work ok, but recently with updates it crashes every time you connect to a wireless network where the Vidiu player is connected.

I haven’t had any good experiences with this app and my new VidiU Go since I upgraded from the VidiU Pro.

Vidiu pro
This app needs to be updated as it crashes all the time when you go to change the video settings and login settings to YouTube.
Frustrating and Unreliable
This app is loaded on my iphone 6. When I start up my hotspot and then turn on the vidiu pro it spins and spins while looking for a wireless connection. Pressing the bluetooth button results in the same condition. It never gets to the screen offering you an opportunity to use your hotspot. Once in a while it seems to work and once you get connected (after 10 minutes of frustration) the app seems to monitor the stream.
I have found that the fastest most reliable setup is to just use the buttons on the device. Unfortunately it is almost impossible to read the screen in daylight. Great hardware, bad software.

Unreliable
The app is a must to set up the hardware. That part works well. However when it comes time to stream my video, The connection from the app to the unit is unreliable. I am stuck using the buttons on the unit. I wouldn’t have purchased the VIDIU Pro knowing the lack of control and reliability.
Great app, but now incompatible!
For some unexplained reason, this app is now not working for iPad 4th generation (a perfectly good piece of hardware). Teradek shouldn't be forcing us to upgrade hardware that's still viable.

The latest update is not compatible with Ipad? I have this app already installed on the Ipad....please fix!!
Not working right
Will not allow you to change the pages on Facebook. Real problem.
Vidiu app is pretty good but...
Overall I'm happy with the application but specifically for Facebook streaming, it would be great if the app supported all the features of the platforms such as setting the location of the stream and things like that which are key features to get viewers watching the live content.
