Sailing

Would be great if I could choose knots as a speed display and show heading and/or course over ground. Would be fantastic for sailboat racing.

Need Date and Time

I purchased the Pro Version. However the date and time are not indicated in the screen and clips, how can the developer said this is for recording if this basic essentials are not stated in the video clips?

Updated after 3 days of use:

Yup, date/ time only provide in the “minimal overlay”. However, further found that the speed meter didn’t work in all “overlays”!! They are all Zero 0 km/h or 0 kph!!

The developer needs to fix it!!

Atualização para os novos iPhones estamos em 2024!!

Quando o aplicativo surgiu ele era inovador. Precisa de atualizações para se adaptar às novas telas e aos novos recursos de processamento tecnológicos. Parou no tempo!

Works really well , but 1 request .

If possible can you make it so that it’s not mandatory to hold the phone in one direction , maybe add a feature that allows to flip camera or hud so that you can hold with right hand instead of left . Besides that everything is accurate and the mph is spot on I tested it on the express way on the way to go snowboarding .

FAQ

What does Vidometer do?

Vidometer records videos with an animated graphical overlay that includes various telemetry data. This data can include speed, altitude, heart rate, GPS coordinates, and more. It transforms your phone into an action camera by adding context and performance metrics to your videos.

What kind of telemetry data can be recorded?

The app can record a wide range of data including speed (MPH or KPH), distance traveled, altitude, elevation, compass heading, G-force, acceleration, shock, GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude), current location, and heart rate (via Health app integration). It also supports map overlays like street, satellite, and aerial maps.

Is Vidometer free to use?

The base functionality of Vidometer is free. However, advanced features such as map overlays (Street Maps, Satellite Maps, GPS Path Trace, Current location/GeoText) require an in-app purchase to unlock.

What devices is Vidometer compatible with?

Vidometer is designed for iPhones and utilizes the device's built-in sensors like the Accelerometer, GPS, Gyroscope, and Compass. It supports HD video recording in 720p and 1080p, and high framerate recording up to 240fps.

What are common use cases for Vidometer?

Common use cases include recording outdoor activities like mountain biking, cycling, or running, and adding performance data to the videos. It can also be used as a dashcam while driving or in aviation applications where detailed flight data is beneficial.
