Has potential but not quite there

I was excited to play this game hoping that it would be a hidden gem, similar in gameplay to Rise of Kingdoms but without the pay-to-win oriented gameplay.
Upon opening the game you are welcomed with a “Subscribe to get rid of ads”, with a 1 minute counter saying that it is a limited offer.
I chose to play with ads to test the game.
Played for a few minutes upgrading buildings, and then switched to a different app hoping that it would keep running on the background. After 10 minutes I came back and my resources did not accumulated, the amount just resumed from were it was when I left the game. So basically you need to have the game open all the time for your resources to accumulate, making the “storage” useless if you leave the game to do other stuff.
This, the ads and the high cost of the subscription to remove them monthly were a big No for me.
I gave it a go but at the end it did’t offer enough features to overcome the bad ones.
My advice is don’t install. For the developer, please make the ads give a reward, people often are willing to watch them optionally if there is a reward. I would also change the subscription to IAP, something like a starter pack, weekly bundles or special offers help more than a monthly subscription.

When reopening the game, you are welcomed with the Subscription thing every single time.

very easy

its very easy.
i complete after 1 hour without perimum.
and one have problem....
Sometimes the material does not fit together
but its a good game good luck anytime.

One of the worst

This is one of the worst I’ve ever played one reason is the adds you can’t get rid of even one you click the exes if you want a good game go play forge of empires but this game has potential

Too many Ads

The game itself looks like it can be a good game. I can deal with the ad banner on the bottom. I was playing for about 10 minutes and got hit with 4 ads over 30 seconds long. They serve no purpose other than making the developer money since no one will pay a subscription for a game like that. Couldn’t take it and literally uninstalled the game. If the game was actually playable and had ads that could give a reward I would play it longer.

My opinion: not worth the download.

Annoying

Wayyyyy to many ads and not worth subscribing to.

Easier to recruit

Pressing the invite a million times to recruit people. Gets very very old. There most be a better way. I just can’t figure out how from the interface.

Where the Hel is everyone?!

How is it that a village that generates a boat load of fish and wood has ZERO population?! Mother of Thor, this is broken

Kinda a good game

I could not even do anything and i built 3 buildings and the it collect the wood that’s when everything stopped

$10 for no ads

Why in the hell do you have to pay $10 to get rid of ads which also cause quite a bit of lag deleted the game 5 mins after downloading it

This is a good game

I really like this game but there are a few problems I want to point out first off at the start of the game make the button to play the game with ads brighter so people can see it and make it to where you can make a worker because after like 10 minutes you basically can’t do anything good day

Don’t waste your time

Could not play the game. After the game loaded the only thing I could do is select to pay to remove the ads. It would not allow me to close or exit the screen only pay to remove the ads of the game that was on sale for 10 dollars. I will say again I did not play the game but I feel the makers only care to make money if the price to remove the ads normally is 20 dollars. I’m willing to guess that if the price to get rid of ads is so ridiculous they shove ads at you every chance they get to force you to pay the 20 dollars so you could play the game uninterrupted. Will not play even if I could and suggest no one else play it either.

I would not waste your time

This game popped up while I was looking for another game. When I saw the number of stars it has, I started reading the reviews and I hoped that since most of them were so old that maybe they had fixed the issues and no one updated their review. I mean people don’t normally complain when things are good. So I downloaded this game and wow......

1. I finished the first task of building the jarl’s house. This is done within the first 20 seconds of the game. Than an add popped up. So, I thought okay maybe it’s just their timing on when they kick out adds. So I proceeded.

2. Nothing in this game takes more than 5-10 seconds to complete. You ready the little speed bubble and click where is tells you and hit build/upgrade. After completing 4 more tasks yet another add pops up.

3. There is a constant add at the bottom of the screen. It kept flashing and it gives you the x button in the corner so you think that you can close the add and sure one will come back but it will at least give you a little bit of a break. NOPE!!!!

4. Others were saying they wanted $9.99 to remove adds. Well I guess they decided that was too low. It’s now $10.99 to remove adds. Look I get it. Adds generate profit especially at the start when you are still tweaking and whatnot. And in other games I play I will watch adds to get stuff all the time. But your game has nothing of value at this stage and there are plenty of other games of this type that are much further along and don’t require a fee of $10.99 just so you can play for a few uninterrupted minutes to see if you even like the game.

I guess I will keep it on my phone for a little while and see if an update comes out. I will update this review if/when that happens.

Yes, the AD’s bother the villagers AND the Jarl!!

I really wanted to like this game. And I’ll pay to have ads removed. Plus, I’m not a MMORPG person. I hate building my “village’ or whatever to have a 10yr old 1000 miles from me destroy it and in there time zone. (And yes, I play SimCity Build It. At least those disasters get you somewhere), but $9.99 to remove ads? : (
Wow!! No way.

Ads

I don’t know if I like the game. The one thing I hate is u have to spend $9.99 to get Reid of the ads.....
I just downloaded it it does not give good reasons how to play
And all it is ,is a tap game ....... I gave it a 1 star rating
If it was at least $1.99 I would understand a little bit more
But as far as I’m concerned 👎

No ads

You know I really like this game but I don’t like the ads that that that’s ridiculous you should not need to spend $10 just to remove ads and I like it in like five minutes passed between us that’s just ridiculous

Not a game

The subject of Vikings is hot right now because of the show on the History Channel... Previous reviews complained about too many ads, but that is what this ‘game’ is - an ad generator. There isn’t even a game here - you just tap to upgrade stuff. You don’t choose where anything goes, nor do you ‘choose’ or customize anything at all. The option to remove ads comes up plenty often, but they don’t care if you pay the whopping $10 or not - cuz either way you are making them money. This is made by people who just want to make money off of other people without having to create or maintain a game experience.

Not a $10 Game

I’ve enjoyed playing this game even though there isn’t much to do in it. It’s an addictive time-waster that looks good and plays smoothly, but it’s pretty clear the game was designed as an ad-bombing-money-easter. The ads autoplay ever few minutes, and banner bar that is ever-present at the bottom of the screen disrupts the gameplay. If you want to disable the ads it’s $10, which is absurd for a game of this caliber. It might be worth it if the cost to disable the ads was $1-$2, bit definitely not worth it for $10.

I guess it’s a wallpaper.

App doesn’t do anything.

Too many ads! Deleted, not worth $10

Don’t download, ads all over everything, can’t get going, than they want $10 to remove ads, not worth that much

Not quite there yet as a worth wild game

Started off good but after all the buildings are built you begin to run out of a purpose. When it said defend your settlement I thought it would have either an automatic attack from the native tribes of Vinland or attack other Norse settlements for prestige and resources but sadly no you just build a wall. Hope the game gets further updated and expanded upon the intro was exciting.
