Village Menu App was developed to assist the Milano Cortina Olympic Village dining during the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Designed for athletes, staff, workforce members, and their families, the app provides a comprehensive tool for browsing menus, accessing nutritional information, and planning meals—ensuring complete transparency and food safety. Menu Browsing: Explore the culinary offerings from all food stations across the Village. The planning feature lets you view available dishes for different meal times using the built-in calendar. A streamlined interface allows you to quickly switch between dining areas and easily compare the day's options. Nutritional Information: Each dish includes a detailed nutrition card to help you track your daily intake. Macronutrients such as energy, fats, saturated fats, carbohydrates, sugars, fiber, protein, and salt are clearly displayed, along with micronutrients including calcium, iron, and sodium. View nutritional values per 100g or per serving. Allergen Management and Food Safety: Allergens are clearly marked with standardized icons for quick and easy identification. A custom filtering feature allows you to automatically hide dishes containing ingredients that don't match your dietary preferences or specific intolerances. Dietary Preferences: Quickly find meals that fit your dietary requirements with dedicated labels. A smart search function also lets you filter dishes by specific ingredients or dietary attributes. Accessibility and Design: The app includes advanced accessibility features for a fully inclusive experience. It offers full compatibility with VoiceOver and TalkBack assistive technologies through semantic labels on every element. High contrast mode and dynamic text scaling from 80% to 150% are supported alongside haptic feedback for action confirmation to further enhance usability. Navigation and Search Tools: An interactive map helps you locate food stations and service points throughout the Village. Advanced search with autocomplete and browsing history ensures fast access to frequently viewed information. Technical Features & Multilingual Support: The interface is fully localized in Italian and English, designed for smooth and intuitive use even during peak hours. Village Menu App brings together gastronomy and technology, supporting the international Milano Cortina 2026 community in optimizing their nutrition throughout the event.
