Invaluable Bible Study Tool
Vines Expository Dictionary is an incredible resource for understanding scriptural terms in their various contexts. This app is easy to navigate and I love the ability to quickly share whole definitions. Would be glad to pay to keep it around in the App Store!

For I phone you only get 2 options! This one is the one you want! The adds are small and minimal making it a much better choice! They do t interrupt your study either!

Great tool!
One thing that you may come to learn in your studies is that there will come a point when you need to know what the original Greek or Hebrew words meant. This will cast new light and understanding on scriptures that my seem hard to really understand or are often time misunderstood. Example 1Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all evil:…” So one of my students said according to this money is the the root of all “evil”. So then if I commit fornication it’s not evil, or if I murder someone it’s not evil. Well his logic is based on scripture, however is it really? The original language word “kakos” means what is useless, incapable, bad, destructive, injurious.
So we now understand that it’s broader meaning. But when you look up “root” for this verse you now understand it means “all kinds of evil”.
And of course, having a word for word interlinear will help clarify that it is “a” root of all kinds of evil. Not “the root of all evil”.
