We eat out regularly at the chimney’s the food is always delicious the staff are so friendly and hard working
Mark our waiter always makes the experience special nothing is too much bother for him he’s happy, positive, polite and funny great with the kids
We are looking forward to our next meal there and already booked for Christmas Day

Fabulous meal quiz and service
Attended The Lambs Green for Monday Quiz night !! The pub had a great atmosphere and was very busy. Despite that our server Maddie was terrific and our food was delivered promptly.. Our meals were delicious and the service was exceptional .. We had a lovely evening and even took our Labrador who was made most welcome !

70th Birthday celebration
Fabulous evening celebrating a special birthday. Our waitress, called Ivy, was lovely. Just the right amount of attention. Perfect!

Was recommended to download this app by the hotel I was staying in.
Despite the best efforts of the staff and myself, the app refused to allow me to register. We tried several options to create an account to access a discount code, but all failed. It was as if the app was designed to stop me accessing the discount code 🤔

Pizza cold and hard burger over cooked and hard and chewy poor.

Losing the will to go back
We have visited Melville inn Dalkeith three (3) times recently.
1. Great service from American waitress and good food.
2. Visited with friends and waited over 40 minutes for drinks and then more time for food. Barperson complained he was too busy serving other tables outside!
3. Tonight waited over 30 minutes for a salad to arrive. When it did arrive it was the wrong meal. Taken away for correct order , which, when it arrived the chicken was dry as a stick and not enjoyable.
3. Paid bill tonight and found that I had been charged for the wrong meal as well as the overcooked chicken salad. Got a refund eventually but don’t think we will be back.
