Never work on AppleTv

Never got it to work from iPhone to the Apple TV app, every upgrade i thought this is the version that fixes the issue but no when they switch to a suscripción okay mueve this will fix it. No still can get it to work on Apple TV

Funktioniert gut, optische Defizite

Still very buggy, needs much attention

I appreciate the update to support Liquid Glass on iOS 26, but unfortunately the app is still VERY buggy and is in need of some serious attention. I paid for a month and have cancelled again, and probably won’t come back. ‘MD Vinyl’ is a much more polished app and visually superior, so it has now become my music visualiser of choice. This app could have been awesome but without proper focus by the developer, I’m afraid it will just be left to stagnate again. For me it’s unusable.

Hi - thanks for the feedback and giving Vinyls another go. Could you email support@pixelfolio.app with the bugs you have been experiencing? It will help me fix them. There are more updates to improve the stability coming soon

45€ lifetime.. for what?

i like these types of apps a lot. kinda feels retro :)
it has some nice details but has nothing special to even pay for.

YouTube Music and Spotify pls!!

Would be a 5/5 since the app is so cool and all but only Apple Music?? Please add compatibility to Spotify and/or other music platforms like YouTube Music or SoundCloud!!

No landscape mode

Fix it

Bugs

Il faut améliorer le fonctionnement de cette application qui a beaucoup de potentialité. Impossible de jouer les chansons à la chaîne, elle joue une chanson puis s’arrête. Ill a encore plusieurs petits bugs qui agacent…

Paid for it BUT now subscriptions and no warning!

I understand that one-off payments for apps are really never a one-off and that to maintain etc there needs to be monetary value. I’ve no problem if the app is updated new features etc and importantly upfront and open about it. But another app that was a paid upfront and then decides it wants more money so therefore everything locked, that was previously open, until new subscription taken out. I decided to give this another go after reading that the developer is letting go of his apps and restarting on another venture, again. Seems to be a pattern here with this developer and his apps when they become less profitable. All upgrades stop, or minimal, then subscriptions get put in and all without letting people know. It’s a shame as I liked this app albeit I have not used in a while but still I didn’t expect to have to subscribe without warning to something I already paid for. Definitely would not trust this developer again. Shame.

Response from developer

Your experience here is genuinely frustrating, and the lack of warning makes it worse. To be clear: I'm the new developer who recently took over Vinyls, and restoring full access for people who paid upfront is something I'm committed to delivering in an upcoming update. If you'd like to talk directly in the meantime, I'm at support@pixelfolio.app.

Was good before the paywall

This app used to be a really good one and one that I used often it had very fun and customizable options like crackle and pop and cobwebs on albums that you haven’t listened to in a while. Those would be really good features and they were… before they were all locked behind a paywall. The lowest option is only 3.99 but still! If you had the app before and changed the settings before the paywall hit all of those setting are permanent until you bypass the paywall. And I don’t just mean a one time payment. It’s a subscription. With the lifetime (only one time payment option) it’s 40 dollars. And this would probably be fine, if it wasn’t for the 4.99 I already payed for the app. So overall good app with terrible execution.

Response from developer

The frustration here is completely valid — paying upfront for an app and later finding beloved features like crackle and cobwebs gated behind a subscription is a poor experience, and I hear that. A future update is planned to restore full access for customers who originally purchased Vinyls as a paid app. I'm the new developer and a future release will unlock the app for people who supported it from the start.

They have turned into subscription or expensive lifetime fee

New review so the dev response isn’t for this. But I’ve come to use the app that was previously about £5 to find that all functionality has been removed from me and it wants me to buy a subscription. The restore purchase button does nothing. Now it’s useless.

Response from developer

Thank you for the kind words. It replicates a vinyl player, as stated in the App Store listing and description.  Edit: Apologies for not previously having artists available to search through. This is now possible in the latest version of the app. - Shihab

Nice looking - shame about Apple TV version

Looks nice enough but I was hoping to use it on TV. It might be more honest to stop offering it if it’s never going to work.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. The Apple TV app is more of a companion app at the moment, but I have plans to improve it in the future

Didn’t work

Although I liked the idea of the app - basically an animated skin for Apple Music, it didn’t work on my iPhone 14 Pro Max very well at all. If the first tune even played, subsequent ones wouldn’t, and the app was launching Apple Music in the background and neither were actually playing the song.

The turntable would get stuck partially showing at the top of the screen and I couldn’t drag it back down, or it would scroll to the right, or the record wouldn’t spin or the player arm wouldn’t sit above the record. There were so many bugs, I gave up using the app after a handful of unsuccessful attempts.

I wasn’t a fan of the fact that there wasn’t even a free trial period either - although it was free to download, you had to start a subscription or buy it outright for £29.99 straightaway to even try it out.

There are a number of DJing apps that offer similar features but also allow you to load 2 turntables and mix between them. I realise this app isn’t trying to be like them, but it made me want to use them again.

On a positive note, I loved the ‘Identify Tune’ feature, but the fact I couldn’t even play 2 songs in a row meant I gave up and got a refund. Sorry.

Great but...

This app is visually amazing and an incredible option for free but would be so much better with Spotify. Please add this Shibab!
