But if you want it because the app promises things like runout scanning, and valuing your record based on specific release, this is an absolute waste of time. It does NOT do any of that.

Great concept, still needs work
Basic functionality works well, but without reading matrix info values can’t really be accurate. In my testing I had records show as wrong pressings, wrong records entirely, and incorrect values. That said - most common records read just fine and were accurate with their values. Finding a way to get this to read matrix info would make it indispensable, but as long as the user has to hunt and type that manually, might as well just use Discogs

First Scan Wrong
I scanned a mono album and it was showing stereo, wrong date, wrong id. I tried to input the right info but it superseded it with more erroneous info. I hope someone will fix this issue or I might have to cancel before the 7 day trial period.
Makes looking through all these records FUN

Super Useful
VinylSnap is really useful and easy to use. I wish it had some easily accessed grading guidance. A personal wish list utility would be very useful.
I can’t trust VinylSnap.
The prices are all over the place & I show both sides of the record and it gives different name no on my record, with different prices. I can’t trust the app on true value. I’m going to test a different app.
History
A fair amount of history is given with interesting known and unknown events. A bit deeper into the history and unusual with funny antidotes would be a good addition. Example: Before the Beatles became “ The Beatles “ they were named “The Quarryman”. An updated real time auction “top price” sold would be helpful. An updated real to date and real time facts with someone manning the app and keeping it current would be a good thing. IE: Dave Mason currently lives in the town of _____ and currently is married to _______and is working on his 11th album. Stuff like that. Yes, pricey but it would improve the site and make it a bit more interesting. This app is already awesome.

Barely scans any albums
It’s frustratingly difficult to get the app to properly identify any records. If it isn’t spelled out in large font on the center label the app will never find it. Even something mainstream like the Gorillaz G-Sides album I had to scan 3 times to get the correct album. Editing does nothing. Forget trying UK imports or soundtracks. Also prices seem low and it’s obvious that if the app doesn’t know it just says $20. They’re should be a way to manually search and add albums. I also don’t think it keeps track of variants either.

Very unreliable
Quite often gives the wrong information. Will give the price of a totally different artist and song
Rubbish
Download it, take a photo of anything and it will make up a random price and probably say £14 something
Very Cool App
I have an extensive vinyl album collection and this app has allowed me to catalog all of my LPs and also calculates an estimated replacement value which I am using to provide to my insurance company for a replacement policy. Thx!

Still needs more time to go through more generations and fixes because it’s just not accurate!

Very useful app when buying records, take photo get release date details and a suggested value.
Multiple misses, skip it and check discogs
Wrong releases found, prices weren’t even close to actual sales prices on other sites.
Have lots of rare and oop records and it hasn’t been good with those.
I was hoping this app would read the inside etching on the record to truly determine the release, but it’s just looking at the image which can be the same across multiple pressings.

GIVES 2 INACCURATE PRICES
Scan an item two different times and got 2 different prices. One is 85 and one is 20. Very far off.

Good concept poor execution
I paid 29$ for this app. Tho the idea is convenient it’s not accurate I’ll scan the same item 2 times and the price is different each time. Sometimes I scanned Chicago album but it comes up the Beatles. Even tho it says Chicago in big letters. App needs to improve if not i want my money back.
