Only usable if you submit your credit card
Have to subscribe with a trial period of 7 days in order to try.
Response from developer
We don't ask any credit card, don't mislead users. We use only InApps from Apple. We changed our logic now you can use it for as long as you want, but with limitation if you not subscribe or purchase an Almighty Version.
Impressably comfortable to use and greatly reduces eye fatigue!
Purchased the lifetime subscription because it’s almost perfect and the most outstanding visual regular expression environment available for macOS & iPadOS at the time of this writing. Extremely grateful for the developer taking the time to create ViRE because although every other RegEx app in the MAS are productively useful they lack the contextual visual ease of use that ViRE possess!
Wishlist:
• Enable the “Send a copy” icon on toolbar to share (Airdrop/DropBox/GoogleDrive/iCloud, etc.) selected text results or RegEx scripts to other apps and to allow bidirectional transfer between ViRE iPadOS/macOS or add an Import/Export to external file, menu option. The current contextual menu activated on selections in ViRE macOS doesn’t show access to all these features like ViRE iPadOS does in my use case.
• Optionally show invisible characters hidden within imported text.
• Also include a regular expression dictionary or glossary panel to reference richer description details of meta characters (although the contextual autocomplete is a must have it also blocks the imported text from view while you’re thinking and scrolling through it).
• Add deeper descriptive syntax error notices.
• Add your support link to the help menu in macOS (It’s extremely easy to forget that it’s available only in the MAS for ViRE).
• Also include ViRE introduction steps under the help menu (in case I’d like to remove them from the ViRE history to reduce clutter for future projects).
• Consider adding additional syntax formats in the future (ecma script{javascript}, python, C#, etc.).

OK but help hard to find
Once I closed the special ViRE window pane on the left I could not get it back and could not find help online either. Discouraging especially considering this is a subscription type of app. I also do not know how to import or cut and paste other text into the search area.
Only Regex Pipeline on the Apple Store - But…
This is a promising application, but I would like to see the developer integrate it with iCloud Files, provide an iPhone version, and sync ViREs between devices. Great UI, but basic UX.
Not for users already familiar with RegEx!
If you are already familiar with Regex this app actually makes your own Regex harder to understand especially if you are familiar with the syntax. The "long" horizontal scrolling is actually very annoying. It might have been better with a tree style stacked view with no horizontal scrolling.
It may be useful for someone trying to learn Regex and then justify the monthly or yearly subscription fee.
For seasonsed Regex users one time payment apps like Expressions, Patterns are actually more useful to write and test Regex!

Very well done but the pricing is insane
Pros:
ViRE is one of the clearest regex testers. RegEx formulas are presented in a clearly structured and comprehensible way - great for getting familiar with RegEx and performing tests. The UI is also clear and quickly understood.
Con:
The application has practically no setting options. It would make sense, for example, that the font size could be adjusted in the editor.
Why only three stars?
The pricing is simply insane. The monthly subscription alone costs as much as another RegEx tool costs as a LifeTime license. ViRE is also available as a lifetime license, which I would buy if the price was somewhat realistic - but 99.90 € is just insane. We are talking about a RegEx tool here!

REGEX TESTING IS EASY
Being able to test some of my regular expressions right here right now in the regular expression creator app is what makes a lot of sense to me. Going step-by-step in adding up to the initial regex and seeing how it is reflected in live mode was awesome. I recommend this app to those who want to substitute lines of code with an elegant and well-tested regular expression.

Authentic app
This app came up really handy when I needed to search and replace various data formats in my customer roster to include social media accounts and contact details. It was easy to work with the large number of files at once and keep each phase as a separate editable step. There are not so many apps like this for iPad users and so I really appreciate the authenticity.

Saving myself guesswork
Even if you’ve been using the regex for a long time you’ll learn a lot from this app. I’ve touched the regex a few times before but it always seemed to be a fairly complex thing to remember to add the operators, syntax, etc. Now with ViRE I finally will save myself a lot of guesswork. Stellar job.
Best iPad RegEx app
I don't like web apps as they don’t work smoothly on mobile webpages. I really enjoy having native experience on my iPad.
Great RegEx app!
If you ever wanted to learn more about the RegEx and dive deeper into them in a user-friendly environment - this is the ONE! Get submerged, enjoy the experience, feel the leaps of advance on your learning curve along the way!
Definitely a must have.
It’s an ultimate RegEx building and testing app. History, search and replace, data extraction, subs - all is there in the app and RegEx library (a pretty cool cheat sheet) is amazing too.
Don't waste your time.
This app isn't free, you have to pay a subscription.
Great Regex IDE
It almost feeld like a full-fledged IDE that is created specifically for Regex! If you have to write a lot of regular expressions, you will find this tool very useful!
A great tool for developers
I've been developing software for 17 years, and I still regularly stumble when it comes to regular expressions. This app makes learning and writing them much easier — it's well-designed, has a ton of features, presents a very clever way to visualize regexps, and provides super-convenient contextual help with fuzzy search over the reference (this one's definitely my favorite feature — try pressing "\" followed by some keyword).
Mastering regexps is useful no matter what language you specialize in, so give this app a shot!

Finally Regexp tool is here!
Awesome, and super handy!
Already some wishlist:
– command line interface (with ability to pass which "schema" to use)
– Import/export regexps and sequences
– "Shared Recepies" – a place where you can find many ther patterns to use (like specific local formats, different csv and microformat patterns, etc)
💪
